Happened to stop in at a local TJMAXX last night just before it was closing (9:30pm in NJ) and just did a quick run through in the mens fragrance ile. Zip, nada. Decided to take a quick look I the women's section and this fragrance from Commodity caught my eye, Tea. For the price, snatched it right up along with 2 bottles of Thayers Lemon Astringent on clearance.
Got home, showered and couldn't resist giving it a quick spray or two. Did not expect what I got from it. Expecting something along the lines of Nishane's WuLong Cha or Hermes Voyage I got something deeper and more aromatic. Honey, Tobacco Leaf, Vetiver, Patchouli, some Basil, woods, tonka and musk. There is a touch of a floral component but, this is about a slightly sweetened vetiver and Tobacco with an earthy woods drydown that gives the impression of a smooth aromatic tea by the fireplace or a cool morning sip out on the front porch. Still get nice wafts of that Tobacco & Patch with a creamy musky vibe from where I put 2 sprays on my forearm last night.
Love it when something just totally knocks you back for the good. And for the $$$, can't lose.
