Nurse Dave's Shaving World

I was intrigued enought to scout it on the bay. Best deal I found was $13 and change. Coming to me from Germany. Might try there to see if possible to get to you. I assume it seperates again as it sits after use?
Sounds like where I got it.

Just to add a little clarification on Van Yulay Soaps. Van Yulay is the name of the company, owned by Monica Gillam. She makes lots of skin care products. Soap of the Gods is the name of the Shaving Soap Line. She has around 180 scents in her shaving soap line!!! What does that tell you? These are not hand made scent blends, she just uses pre made scents that she orders.
All of a sudden I have an idea to flood your mailbox with Van Yulay samples and watch weeks worth of review videos ?

You are getting pretty much the same results as I did. Love the razor feel and looks and I really REALLY wanted to like it, but the shaves I got from it were just not good enough to justify buying one. I got the same sort of blade feel you experienced with the more open plates, but could get a closer shave with a Tech. It's a shame because I love all other aspects of the razor.
Ah, but read today's journal ?

Great video, Dave, and great thoughts on the angle of attack with the DE depending on the bend of the blade.

Thanks for the video Dave and thanks for explaining the Parker Variant. I am thinking that I am going to have to make another purchase.

Watched while I was lifting weights this morning Dave. Great video. You definitely look and sound much more comfortable in front of the camera than when you first started. Great Job!

Thank you brother. One thing I'd like to fix is the sound quality, but I guess that's just a problem with shooting in a small room with hard surfaces all over.

If you get some things on the wall, that will help break up the sounds waves as they bounce around and make the bounces less sharp. And if you have towels hanging up that helps a lot too. Honestly, I don't hear any issues with your sound.

Watched your last two videos today... Well more so listened while mowing the lawn. I really like my Variant.

Great video Dave! You got me jonesing for a variant now. +1 on being more relaxed on camera. Just like chatting with a buddy while shaving.

Well that's good. Sounds a little echoey to me. But I also have some shelves coming for the back wall so that might help some of it.

Finally caught up on your videos Dave. That variant is looking like a razor I just might pull the trigger on.
