Darwin Classic Splash

An ok shave tonight. Under my chin was rough from last night’s shave. I got through it without opening anything back up, but it didn’t feel good at all. Tomorrow may just be an easy DE shave to let it heal.
I forgot I had some of the sample of Darwin Classic AS. The scent is amazing and I will need to get a full bottle of it soon.
 
Darwin is a bewitching combination of hesperidium fragrances. You are captivated by the head notes as you open the bottle, spellbinded by the nice and sugary sweet orange, the light and acidulous lemon zest and the fascinating and camphoric lemongrass.

I need to get my dictionary out to understand what it smells like. They have two different bottles but it looks like it's the same stuff in each. I'd be ordering if I didn't need to watch my purchases. :(

They have the Classic and the Bay Rum scent and the last I saw on their Instagram they are standardizing the packaging for the classic now. I have no clue how to describe the scent beyond not sweet lemon and almost a little spicy? The 2 times I’ve used it I couldn’t stop cupping my hand over my nose and taking it all in. Have had my cart filled up with their stuff many times, but was worried about my health and safety if I put in such a big order. :ROFLMAO:

Still pretty tender under my chin so the Yates got the nod. Nice smooth shave and I am liking the Sputnik blades a lot. I am all aboard the GTB train and wish I ordered a full bottle. This will be rectified once The Handlebar Supply is able to open their doors once this is over. It feels kind of weird to order online from a shop I can be to in 15-20 minutes.
Had quite a bit of drama at work today with one of my guys. Stupid decisions were made and it doesn’t look like it’s going to fair too well for him.

Hopped back on the straight train tonight and had a pretty darn good shave. No blood letting and only a small amount of irritation on my neck. I stopped thinking so much and just had at it. I was able to keep the angles fairly consistent going up my neck to the jawline and it felt pretty good. There wasn’t all too much left to clean up after the two passes with the straight but I ended up doing a full pass with the Gibbs be cause it’s so so smooooooth.
The scent of Maggard’s Limes and Bergamot is nice and fresh and the soap base seems to work quite well for me. Santa Paula paired up nicely with it to finish things off.

Best shave yet with the Boker! No new irritation in my sensitive spots but I did tap the side of my nose with the blade and leaked some fluids. Must practice better muzzle awareness. The shave tonight was probably 10 minutes quicker than yesterday, it just flowed a whole lot better. After a second use of GTB, it will be replacing Proraso Green as my default splash. This stuff is amazing.
Nothing too exciting on the home front. We just hung around at home and the ordered some pizza for dinner. Back to work bright and early tomorrow, it’ll be nice to be back in the office a little more.
