Holy Cow! That is one heck of an update. And some funny stories also! Tell your mom Happy Belated Birthday from the Cadre! 86 is definitely special! I read a good bit of your shaves and anecdotes, but to be honest I will have to finish them up later today. Thanks for stopping by Craig...we definitely know you are super busy...and appreciate the time you can give us!

Time for another journal update! I don't have SOTD pictures of the last 2 shaves yet, so I'm just posting the ones I have. I'll get those tomorrow's shave and hopefully get them posted soon!

Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys
After Shave: Duke Cannon Ice Cold Cooling After-Shave Balm
Cologne: Royall Lyme All Purpose Lotion
I was in another lime mood today, and What The Puck Lime Burst got the call. Another excellent performing soap! Great lime scent, kind of a lime soda, but very nice. Whipped up the lather with the Disruptor with ease and proceeded with the shave.
3 passes and some clean up with the Our Princess resulted in a nice BBS shave with just a tad bit of alum sting and one small weeper. A good shave!
Finished with some of the Duke Cannon and then a good splashing of the Royall Lyme on the the pulse points. Love this scent!

Soap: Soap Commander Respect
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys
After Shave: Soap Commander Respect Aftershave Splash
Cologne: Murray & Lanman Florida Water Cologne
Continuing with the lime scents Soap Commander Respect was selected for today's shave. Another great performing soap and a very nice Lime and Patchouli scent. Typically excellent Soap Commander performance. Whipped up a great lather with the Maggard synthetic and it's time to get my shave on!
3 passes and some clean up with the AIC produced a weeper free, nick free, just a little alum sting BBS+ shave.
Finished with the matching splash, really good stuff! Then some shots of the Florida Water. Yeah that pairs very nicely.

I remembered I had this sample of Strling's Lime soap so still being in a Lime mode it was chosen for today's shave. The Stirling Badger whipped up a typically excellent lather with ease. Still continued to be impressed with this brush. Great performer and only about $40. Yeah that's hard to beat.
3 passes and some clean up with the Flare Tip and I'm BBS+ with no nicks, weepers, and a barely noticeable alum sting on the neck.
I do have a sample of the Stirling Lime Aftershave, but decided not to go matching scent with the soap today. A nice splash of the Floid Black, man I love this juice! Then a few spritzes of the YSL Electrique. A very nice pairing!

Soap: Soap Commander Fortitude Aftershave Balm
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys
After Shave: Soap Commander Fortitude Aftershave Balm
Cologne: Thierry Mugler A*MEN Pure Havane Eau De Toilette
I wanted to used one of the samples that Chris sent me so I choose Soap Commander's Fortitude to go with the A*Men Pure Havane. Of course typically great Soap Commander performance from the lather. Really like the scent of this soap. A very nice blend of hay, rum, and tobacco.
3 passes and some clean up with the Buck and I'm BBS+ with one weeper, no nicks, and just a small bit of alum sting. A great shave.
Finished by rubbing on some of the matching balm. Then a few spritzes of the Pure Havane. Very nice pairing. I get a very light but distinct cigar tobacco scent along with pipe tobacco, vanilla, amber, honey, and patchouli. A very nice scent to my nose. I'll be putting this on the buy list.

After Shave: Black Ship Grooming Co. Davy Jones Aftershave
Cologne: Cremo Bourbon & Oak EdC
After doing he "Rum and Tobacco" I felt the need to do a bourbon shave. Black Ship Grooming Davy Jones was selected. Black Ship Grooming Co. makes a great performing soap. This soap is easy to lather and the lather has great performance in all areas. The strength of scent is a 2.5 of 5 in the tub and lathers a 3.5 of 5. I get some bourbon, vanilla, woody notes, and a hint of amber and moss. Very nice scent! Whipped up a lather with the AP brush using the SV method and proceeded with the shave.
The last outting with the Klas was very tuggy, so I took it to the Trans Ark for some touch up. Did about 100 laps on both sides of the stone (Lapped to 600 grit and 2000 grit). Today's shave much improved. Another session wouldn't hurt it, but a nice edge still. 3 passes and some clean up. No nicks, weepers, and a little more than noticeable alum sting. A good BBS- shave.
Finished with the matching aftershave. Nice performing juice! Then some spritzes of the Cremo Bourbon & Oak. Yeah that's a great pairing!

Soap: Sapone Di Paolo Agrume Soap
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Humphreys
After Shave: Cremo Skin Clearing Post Shave Balm Unscented
Cologne: Pinaud Clubman Citrus Musk Cologne
I had overlooked this lime scented soap and I was in a lime mood today so I used it. Sapone Di Paolo renamed itself to Eleven Shaving. So far as I know the formula remained the same, just changed the name. This is a very nice Lime and Basil scent. Strength of scent is a 2 of 5 in the tub and 3 of 5 lathered. Great performing soap in all areas. No issues whipping up a great lather with the Yaqi using the SV method.
3 passes and some clean up with Grandad's razor and I'm BBS. No nicks, one slight weeper on the chin, other than the weeper very little alum sting. A nice shave.
Finished up with the Cremo Balm and then followed that with some splashes of the Citrus Musk. From Clubman Online's website: "a cool citrus blend of lemongrass, limes, lemons and bergamot follows with jasmine, muguet and carnation. This refreshing fragrance dries down to woods, musk and tonka." A nice scent.
