Razor: Delta Echo Crimson Tide Fatboy G1
Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium
Brush: Stirling Soap Co. Synthetic 2-Band 24mm
Soap: Sapone Di Paolo Agrume
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave 1: Dove Men+Care Hydrate+ Post Shave Balm
After Shave 2: Royall Lyme All Purpose Lotion
Cologne: Guerlain Homme L'eau Boisee EdT

Celebrating Alabama Crimson Tide's 39 to 10 victory Saturday over the Missouri Tigers. ROLL TIDE!

1st time using this maker's soap. He has rebranded it to "Eleven". The scent is lime and basil which pretty much sums it up. I get way more citrus lime than basil, but it is there. The strength of scent in the tub is a good 3 of 5 and lathered, it increases just a little to a 3.5. The scent last for the entire shave. I do like this scent.

Using the SV method a 30 second load easily produced enough lather for 3 shaves. No problem loading the brush. A very slick lather was produced in no time. This lather has great glide/cushion and excellent residual slickness. No stability issues. The scuttle heat did not effect the lather. I'd have to rate this soap as a great to excellent rating.

3 passes with the Delta Echo and some clean up. No nicks or weepers. Just a tad bit of alum sting on some stubborn stubble on the chin. Finished with the Balm and followed that with the Royall Lyme.

A few vasilis of the L'eau Boisse and I'm good to go!

1st Lather Sapone Di Paolo Agrume

So that shed you built last year was really for all this stuff huh?? , Good Stuff Craig

I had that soap once, but I suppose it didn't like the water over my way because it was a bit airy. But the scent was very nice.

I have a Sapone Di Palo soap that does pretty well. But I think they went through a re-branding recently and changed their name.

Worked great for me, bummer it didn't perform for you!

That Wacker is beautiful. Excellent acquisition, Craig!
Thanks Eric!
Yes, they re-named it, "Eleven".
+1 I thought I already said that?

I agree, this is a good performer. I’ve got 4 of their soaps.
Do you have any of their after shaves? How do they perform?

I had their Terroso AS balm. It either didn't smell like the soap or it didn't absorb all the way in. I can't remember now which was the issue, but I didn't use it again. I believe it was a scent thing.

Greasy was the term i believe you used when you sent it to me. I can send it back if yo wanna give it another go.

Didn't shave on Tuesday due to the fact I got a shave and haircut after work Tuesday. Then didn't shave Wednesday because I really didn't need too.

Straight Razor Shave #213
Razor: Grandad's Union Razor Cutlery Co.
Brush: Simpson Commodore X3 in Best Badger
Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Responders 4 Life (R4L)
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Stirling Soap Co. Responders for Life (R4L) Aftershave Splash

I went with Stirling's R4L soap and aftershave today. This is a limited run and only available as a set. From Stirling website:

100% of the profit from this shave soap and aftershave splash will be donated to Responders 4 Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving first responders and their families.
The scent is inspired by Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver. While this scent is predominantly vetiver (as the name implies), it also boasts fresh citrus and woodsy notes which are rounded out by oakmoss and amber base notes.

I can't describe the scent any better than that. Typical great Stirling performance on both the soap and splash. Strength of scent is a good 2.5 of 5 in the tub and a 3.0 lathered. The aftershave is a dead on match with typical Stirling performance.

3½ passes with Grandad's straight and I'm BBS. Did get a weeper on the chin and some alum sting on the neck and chin.

Finished with the splash. A good shave!

Setup 10-18-2018

Well the new keyboard for the laptop came in and I got it installed without much issue with the use of some duct tape. The only issue was in getting the keyboard. I could buy them all day long for about $35 to $40. However it was going to be some time mid to late November before it would be delivered. Yeah slow boat from China for sure. 1 seller on Amazon offered "expedited" shipping for $37.00 so yeah I paid as much for shipping as I did the keyboard, but it did arrive in about a week from order date. My laptop is back functional again.

Straight Razor Shave #214
Razor: Klas Tornblom Eskilstuna
Brush: Maggard Razors 24mm Black & White Synthetic Shaving Brush, Black Handle
Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Barbershop
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Yves Saint Laurent La Nuti De L'Homme EAU Électrique EdT

Another new to me Stirling soap scent today. This is their Barbershop scent. Strength of scent in the tub is a 2 of 5 and lathered about 2.5 of 5. The best way I can describe the scent is Pinaud Clubman Vanilla with a cookie dough scent added in. It is not what I consider a typical barbershop scent, unless the barbershop was next door to a cookie bakery. Not knocking the scent at all though! I do like it. As expected typical great performance.

3½ passes with the Klas and I'm BBS- with no nicks or weepers and just a tad bit of alum sting on the chin. I don't know why but for some reason, the chin stubble has become stubborn for the last few shaves.

Finished with a splash of the Clubman and followed that with the Electrique. A very nice pairing IMHO.

Straight Razor Shave #215
Razor: Buck Salient #138 of 250
Brush: Parker Silver Tip Badger Faux Horn Handle
Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Duke Cannon Ice Cold After-Shave Balm
Cologne: Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme Profumo

Hadn't used any TOBS in a while so I chose the Sandalwood.

3 passes with the Buck and some clean up with a DE on the neck and chin. Pretty good alum sting on the neck and chin, but no nicks or weepers. I'll give this one a BBS.

The Duke Cannon calmed the irriraiton right down, so no razor burn. A few spritzes of the ADG and I'm ready to go head to the cigar lounge.

Some most excellent set-ups, Craig!

I hear ya on the Stirling Barbershop soap - that's one of the few Stirling offerings that I'm not too fond of - it's not the "barbershop" scent "style" that I favor.

BTW, the other day, I used a Wholly Kaw shaving soap that I immediately thought you'd totally dig - their "Project Leather".

Thanks Chris! I've got several of Wholly Kaw scents on my radar, that is one of them.
