Caught up and WOW. Nice shaves mail calls and work on the beautiful straights. Where'd you get the barbasol?
WOW! Awesome posts...great mail calls...and spectacular finds! And yes...please tell...where did you pick up the Pacific Rush?
Thanks Dave and Don! I got it from https://www.foodservicedirect.com/. It took about 4 weeks and then they only shipped 1/2 of it. Sent a 6 count carton of tea instead. They say they can correct that. We'll see.

Wow, Craig! Great reads, set ups, pix, and mail call!!

The Azzaro is some good stuff. To me, it's similar to Rive Gauche but with some added woody notes. And the Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisee is one I reach for often. Looks like they've changed the bottle design from the one I have; hopefully not the formula. It also layers extremely well with one Vasili of Guerlain Vetiver.
Thanks Chris! I can agree with that scent description.
Holy update batman! It also appears the tumble weed treated you well
Thanks Chad! Yes it did!

Hey it happens. Not my proudest moment for sure.
Wow, that was quite the down load. Lots of great stuff in there.
Thanks Dave!

I don't think you have enough Pacific Rush! That is some mail call and a wonderful summary of all the shaves. That razor restoration looks pretty solid!

This is the other straight razor that I cleaned and honed. A Curtain & Clark Cutlery Co. Our Princess. All I did was some polishing with some Flitz and a micro fiber. This is a blade measures to be a 9/16" and I think it is a 1/2 hollow grind. I honed it along side the Geo H Weyer. As you can see it has some heavy hone wear and it took a lot of laps on the Shapton Pro 1K to get the bevel set. Then I took it through the progression with the 5K, 8K, and 12K. I did about 25 laps with Dan's Honing oil on the 600 side of the Trans Ark and then 50 with mineral sprites. Then laps with Smith's on the 2000 side till it stuck. Followed by water only till it stuck. Tree topping nicely.

Straight Razor Shave #211
Razor: Curtain & Clark Cutlery Co. Our Princess
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: Wet Shave Products Olympus
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave 1: Bull Dog Original After Shave Balm
After Shave 2: Wet Shave Products Olympus After Shave Splash
Cologne: Wet Shave Products Olympus EdP

Went with a know performing soap to test the edge on the Our Princess. Whipped up a great lather and proceeded with the shave. Another win on this edge. I'd give it a A also. Nice and sharp and smooth. 3½ passes yielded a nice BBS- with no nicks or weepers. Did have some alum sting on the lower neck, hence the use of the Balm.

Finished with the matching after shave and EdP and I smelling very nice if I do say some myself!

Straight Razor Shave #212
Razor: Wacker Allround Blonde
Brush: Fine Accoutrements Stout Angel Hair Synthetic 24mm
Soap: Fine Accoutrements American Blend
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave 1: Pacific Shaving Co. Caffeinated Balm
After Shave 2: Fine Accoutrements American Blend After Shave
Cologne: Fine Accoutrements American Blend Edt

Again I went with a know performing soap for the inaugural shave for the Wacker. Whipped up and excellent lather and proceeded with the shave.

I was informed by the vendor I purchased this razor from to try this "Factory" edge before I took it to stones. Just give it a good stropping. He said in his opinion it was "Shave Ready". Well he was correct. This is as good of an edge as just about any that I've used. Tree topping like crazy and very smooth.

3½ passes and I did manage to give myself 3 weepers, two of them were almost nicks, but small in size. Really didn't bleed at all. Again I had some pretty good alum sting on the neck. I did chase the Baby there and probably should have just stopped at 3 passes and a BBS- to DFS + on the neck. But no, had to push it with a new blade.

Finished with the balm and then followed with a nice splash of the After Shave and a few spritzes of the EdT. I really do like this scent!
