Hello Mr. M! {Insert profanity here}

Well the old electronic rooster crowed this morning. I slapped at it and rubbed my chin, screw it, I'll forgo the shave for some more sleep. Fast forward to this evening after work.

Just a nice quick 2 passer, was the plan, don't need BBS, DFS will be more than enough to head over and met a friend at the cigar lounge.
AOS Oud was on deck. I do like the scent of this cream. It performs great, but not any better than creams that are much less costly.
Wet the brush, put some water in the scuttle and soak the towel.

Whipped up a great lather in no time, did the preshave routine, and proceeded with the shave. All went as planned. 2 passes (WTG and XTG) and yeah a nice DFS to DFS+ shave. No nicks, or weepers. Just a little bit of alum sting on the neck in a couple of places.

So where is Mr. M you ask? I thought I was beyond his reach, I was wrong. As I was rinsing off the Buck, I let my mind wonder for just a second and the Facet Monster Struck!

Yes there is a ding in the edge and I can feel it when I run my thumbnail across it. RAT FARTS!

So looks like the Buck will be going to the stones ahead of schedule. I'll get a picture of it and post it before I go to the stones.

Went ahead and finished with a spritz of the cologne into the ASB. Then a few vasilis and and at least I smell good.

Thought I'd do something a little different with today's picture.

When Murphy strikes he can really strike hard. I hope the edge is easily repaired.

Great shave otherwise.

Yes he can! Lost my religion for sure when it happened. I think I'll have to go and do at least a complete bevel reset, hopefully not much more than that.

Well, that razor is shot, better send it to me for disposal.

Just when you think you are safe, he goes after you in another way. I think I felt him tugging on my razor this morning, but I and the razor came away unscathed.

'Twas a good shave at least...Mr M is devious in his ways! Hope the repair honing goes well!

Massive Murphy hit! He’s getting sneaky and going after hardware eh? I definitely like your humidor solution, maybe too big for my igloodor.

Yeah and he enlisted the help a 3rd party, the faucet monster.

Cigar Oasis has one that is designed for up to about 100 sticks, the Ultra 2.0. It's 7" x 2½" x 1", about the size of 3 70x7's

Straight Razor Shave #155

Pre Shave: Dove Men+ Hydrate+ Face Wash
Razor: Allegany Instrument Corp. WP 5/8 cira 1920 to 1940
Brush: Envy Shave 24mm White Supreme 2 Band Badger Alluminati Classic - Blue
Soap: Le Père Lucien Oud - Santal
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Paladin After Shave Balm
Cologne: Polo Supreme Oud EdT

Decided to give Mr. M. a little more time to vacate the premises today, so I waited till after work to shave.

In case you haven't noticed I've been on an Oud theme for the last few shaves. Today was the final oud scent that I have, Le Père Lucien Oud - Santal. Love this scent! Nothing really fancy here, oud and sandalwood, enough said! Great preforming soap! Using the SV method, easy to load and lather. Whipped up a great lather with the Envy in no time. Nice and slick and good residual slickness. Strength of scent is a good 3 to 3.5 of 5.

Just did a quick 2 passer WTG and ATG and wound up BBS- for the most part. Managed to let the tip of the AIC give me a little scratch. Nothing major, just about a 1/4" red stripe. Just a tad bit of alum sting on the neck.

Finished up with sprtiz of the Polo into the ASB and the a few vasilis on the pulse points.

Pre Shave: CBL Preshave
Razor: Italian Barber Mentor Head & Maggard Razors MR5 Blue Anodized Stainless Steel Handle
Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium
Brush: Maggard Razors 24mm Synthetic Shaving Brush, Marble Handle
Soap: Maggard Razors London Barber Shop
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block, and Dickson's
After Shave: Maggard Razors London Barber Shop After Shave Lotion
Cologne: Versace Pour Homme EdT

Woke up this morning with the intent of shaving, got up went the bathroom and rubbed my face, hmmmm I'm still DFS from yesterday....yeah 30 more minutes of sleep.

The plan was to shave after work, got home and SWBMO informed me that she is particating in the neighborhood yard/garage sale tomorrow, so about 2 hours later, I've got everything relocated from the shed to the garage and she is happy.

Oh I figured out how the thieves got the tools out of my garage. They stole my 2 wheel hand truck!! Figured I save time by using it to move the stuff from the shed and yeah it's gone. Now I'm all pissed again, so I decided to just calm down with a shave.

Didn't want to temp Mr. M. so I grabbed the Mentor and loaded a PolSilver blade. Setup and took the SOTD and yeah I'm ready to get my shave on.

Used the SV method and whipped up a great smelling and performing lather with ease. I love this scent! One of my favorite barber shops. Maggard says it is one of their best selling and I can see why. Bergamot, basil leaf, oakmoss, and white patchouli is their description. I don't really get the individual notes, but they blend together to make something nice!

2 passes and little clean up and you know what? BBS with no nicks, weepers, and just a very little tingle from the alum on a couple of places where I did some water only J hooks on the neck.

Finished with the ASL and then a few spritzes of the Versace. My nose says this is a good pairing.
