Razor: Timeless .68 OC

Blade: Gillette Rubie (5)

Brush: Paladin 26 mm Butterscotch Moe

Soap: A&E St. Barts

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Florida Water

Karve had 1 shave and back out the door to another member considering it so the Timeless got the call today with a Gillette Rubie on shave 5. The Paladin Moe did a nice job on the sample I had of St. Barts from Josh getting to a nice lather. I mush samples in a bowl and basically load from there but always have trouble judging it as well as I do in a tub. No worries as I just loaded more from the bowl for pass 3. Did some chasing clean up after 3 passes which I probably shouldn't have but just a few weepers that closed up quickly. Saw how Chris of the cmh variety has the same issue as me cpap plus drier skin in cooler weather gets some extra sensitivity. I can't help it though as I NEED a smooth face and will endure a weeper or 2 that closes in no time. I'm surprised how many on here have a cpap. How regular do you that have them, use them? Every night? All or part of the night? Wanted some more A&E in the den but didn't know which scent(s) to get. The St. Barts fits the bill for another A&E scent I was looking for to add to the Revolution scent I have. Added it to the running list of future purchases. Snapped a pic before I could decide which AS to pair with this. Settled on the Florida Water Cologne. Have a great day Cadre !!

Nice photo, Dave.

Re: CPAP.....I use it every night. Currently, I have the type mask that isn't the big one that fits from the top of the nose bridge and kind of looks like an oxygen mask. I've got the smaller one that fits starting much lower and has softer seals. But right now, I think it's got too much pressure programmed because it's causing the mask to not seal completely, thus waking me up - defeating the whole purpose of the darned contraption! But, I have an appointment today, as a matter of fact, where I hope to get it adjusted.

Thanks for the response Chris. I'm onto one now that is more an oxygen mask and works better then the pushed under the nose and down around the mouth one. Only problem is it has to be so high on the nose bridge for me hat it's probably a bigger one then I need. It is woking but I keep wondering if there is a better one too. Like picking the perfect razor quest. ???

That St. Bart's scent is a great one! I have it and love it! If you are looking for another A&E scent...you might want to wait. On The Club side of the brand there have been and will be more scents that will make it to the A&E side. So there is that. Also...as far as your dry skin goes...I hate balms because they are all very thick and and make my face feel greasy for good bit of time or...and don't laugh...they make me sweat. They are just to think and I don't think many of them really do a good job. I picked up a bottle of A&E's Post Shave Serum...and man that is really good stuff. I find it more moisturizing than balms and it goes on incredibly light soaking into the skin in very little time. It is pretty inexpensive also! Just a couple of thoughts!

Seriously...I think it is a game changer for me...especially as the colder months and the wind come into play! They have an unscented and a light Aventus scent. I have the Light Aventus scent and it doesn't seem to interfere with anything else I want to wear with it!

Just to let you know...The Club is a bi-annual subscription of $12.00. You get first crack at new soaps and some Club exclusives as well as 20% off. Not sure if it is worth it for you...but just wanted to let you know.

Quick no muss and no fuss shave. Tried the Glide from CRSW again as they just restocked their scents and 1 appealed to me - Citrus Maximus. Still on the fence about a purchase but really need some more soaps before I run out...........

Razor: 1964 Gillette Slim (Setting 5)

Blade: Gillette Rubie (12)

Brush: Paladin 26 mm Harlequin Chief

Soap: A&E St. Barts

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Anthony's Bay Rum

Went back to the Slim today and another shave on the Rubie which was #12. Could probably keep going but decided to bin it after the shave. Not because it was giving up but sometimes it's just time. It wasn't tugging or anything but there's no way it's as sharp as at the outset. Chased BBS today on the neck. I always get BBS jawline and above but neck is always DFS. Not this morning, I'm feeling good and "Life is Good". Topped things off with Alcoholado 70 and Anthony's Bay Rum. Have a Great day Cadre !!!
