Razor: Brass Colonial General

Blade: AC Pro Guard (4)

Brush: Rubberset 400 reset with a Maggard Synthetic Knot

Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Abyss

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Avon Island Lime

So I have soooo many samples from Chris and Josh to go thru it is a little stressful as I want to give feedback. When will I get to my tubs of soap some of which I haven't used once yet. Anyway I still had some of the Abyss sample in the Turkish Hammered bowl even after doing a back of the neck shave last night. Decided to lather it like a madman this morning to use it up and yes I want a tub of this and the AS to match. Started a written list of soaps to buy (I know, I am a sick man) Awesome lather and shave with the General. The Wider head on the razor makes getting all the nooks and crannies hard to get to for my face. I can but it requires a little more effort and attention doing clean up. I have enjoyed trying this razor out and greatly appreciate Josh's (Dagwoodz) generosity. The razor has been disassembled, cleaned and a quick alcohol bath to sanitized. Will try t get it in the mail today to TJ who is next in the list. Still not too late to get a chance to try a razor that many haven't and may never be able to if they don't produce it again. They have talked about it but 1st they are designing a DE razor to produce and sell. Obviously it will be awhile if they ever do another version of the general. Included a lather pic with the SOTD pic. Hope all in the Cadre have a great day !!

Great shave today Dave...I love your Rubberset 400 also! And it looks like the new sink is treating you well!

FYI Dave, I'm holding your accountable. After seeing pics of all your soaps, I finally decided I need to label the sides of mine and put them in some sort of order. Risk is, if I have too many out at once and the wife sees them, I can't imagine the comments will be on the positive side. So you better hope that nothing happens!

Great General shaves man!

That Avon bike will probably be the fastest Pokey has ever gone in his life!

Thanks Don and yep, we're getting along pretty good
All caught up Dave. Really enjoyed it and some nice shaves also!
Thanks Chad
Nice shave Dave! And those pics look good on that new counter.
Thanks Tim, easier then going to the other room with construction paper

It's good to get organized and showing ya how much I care for you. If there is any backlash you can store them at my place. You got the address......................I got comments from the misses too. She said, So you don't need any more soaps unless you empty and are replacing one, RIGHT". I just looked at her and smiled with no response. I mean how could I break it to her I already placed an order at Stirling of Bath Soap.....................

Thanks Chris, Pokey won't move under his own steam anymore now.

Razor: Timeless Bronze Open Comb

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)

Brush: Paladin 26 mm Lime Lotus

Soap: CBL Orange Dirt

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Bootleggers Green Freeze

Well now that the General is on it's way to our own Doc Holiday it was time to try out the Timeless Bronze. A little research shows that this .78 blade gap open comb is considered equivalent to their ,95 Stainless version. What this shows is that blade gap is only 1 thing to consider when looking at how a razor will behave and is not the sole thing to consider when looking at a razor. So how did the shave go. I survived with only 1 nick of a pimple head of which non will be safe with this razor. Did I get a close comfortable shave? I will say I got a close shave but there is a lot of blade feel compared to my SS Timeless OC. So yes I can get a nice close shave but it requires more attention then I care to invest since I have 3 moderns that are effortless for me. Could this become effortless for me to shave? I'm sure with more time and use the answer is yes, but it's a 1 and done for the aforementioned reasons. I am glad I had a chance to try it and would be curious to see if the straight bar version that is a .38 blade gap would be more up my alley. Again you'd think .38 gap that'll be mild, but I venture to say it would be nice AND efficient. maybe someday I'll get a chance. So again a shout out and thanks to Josh for allowing the chance to try and silence any RAD for this one. I will get this going to whoever is next in line in Wednesdays mail.

1st shave with the Orange Dirt and boys this one is a WINNER for me. I may need to look up getting some terre d'hermes as understand this to be a copy of it. Same great CBL performance, just a total pleasure to use today and looking forward to more uses with it. Hope all in the Cadre are having a splendid day !!

Had a little mail call the other day. Some blades for an injector still on it's way and a scale for ...........weighing soaps and such.

Razor: Karve Plate "C"

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)

Brush: Sorrentino 24 mm Silvertip

Soap: The Holy Black Caswell Massey

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Brut

Had a house cancel today due to weather so kicking around the house and getting little things accomplished. Decided to get a late morning shave in. Decided to get the Holy Black Caswell Massey out for a spin. Decent soap quality but nothing spectacular. Has a slight citrusy scent to me but a subtle soap smell I picked up today. Since I'm done with the Bronze Timeless I got it ff today to @GlazedBoker for his spin with it. My Karve has been back home so I decided to get reacquainted with it. After some slight rawness from the Timeless shave I opted to start with the "C" Plate even though I have yet to try the "F" that I got while it was on it's tour. I'll get to that when skin is feeling ready just in case it's more then I bargain for. Topped everything off with some Brut since KJ got it on my mind with his Brutathon Video. Hope all of the Cadre and their family's have a good day !!!
