Actually, a shaken Martini breaks up the ice in the Shaker and essentially gives you a watered down drink. So Mr. Bond is drinking a watered down Martini!

Shaken or stirred it doesn’t matter. Both are mixed with ice, and moved around the ice to chill the spirits, and in both methods, some of the ice melts and then both are poured off the ice into the glass. Both are watered down, and if done right, by the same amount.
And Chad, always dirty and with a couple olives!
But when you shake ice it breaks it up and creates more surface area. More surface area means that the ice melts faster. Thus, James Bond is a wuss!
