Cooler weather has finally settled into Chicagoland so I've been enjoying autumn brews.
That looks fancy...and nondescript...
So I tried the Heaven's Door three pack last night. This would also be my first time trying bourbon. The straight rye I didn't care for as much as Sazerac rye. The standard bourbon I liked pretty well, but not so much the double barrel one. The standard bourbon was very nutty. Like pecan and walnuts with some brown sugar on the end. Not at all what I was expecting. Is nut flavors common with bourbon?
