Picked up this awesome Shaving Mug/Scuttle and Brush from a local Facebook Marketplace seller. They are both made of pewter, luckily the kind that has no lead in it. As far as I can tell from googling. the brush dates to around 1927!? If anyone knows more about pewter, I'd love to know.

The mug has a few scratches and a little bit of pitting, but for the most part it is in wonderful condition.

The brush is a real surprise, it has a little pitting on one side that should come out with the buffer and a small ding on the base. I thought for sure it's knot was a goner, but once I had it in my hands, I found it to be solid. I've already washed it 3 times with dove soap, shampoo and conditioner. It seemed almost unused and only lost 8 hairs though the cleaning process. I can't imagine it is from 1927, but maybe??? I think I'll use it for my next shave. It has a nice pure/best badger and it smells fine, no wet dog smell at all.

You know, I'd like to imagine that! I need to cut a puck of Williams Tonsorial in half and throw it in the scuttle. The brush lathered really well and lost no hairs at all.

I’m old enough to be around when they put targets at the bottom of urinals.

Went to hit up the Big Lots based on the witch hazel mention on the board and found something else. Old Spice Hawkridge, in glass bottles. I didn't snag them all, but I grabbed a few. Obviously a foreign market bottling.

I've read it described as sandalwood and vanilla, which seems accurate. Much heavier vanilla than sandalwood. Interesting note, I find it to more closely match the new production Indian OS cream than any other iteration of OS.

Yates new brass handle with the new top cap and brass hybrid base plate. Although heavy at 126 grams it feels well balanced and wonderful in hand.

I picked up these two crusty, old razors at a yard sale down the block. Not sure why I bought the Ranger Tech, it’s pretty worn and covered in some pink junk.
The New Deluxe is worn, but not too easy to find. I think it would be nice to have the head replated and use it on my Gillette Big Boy Hybrid(it currently sports it’s stock New Short Comb). Which would turn it into a Gillette New Deluxe, Big Boy Hybrid.
