I guess I should actually watch that show, @GearNoir
For being based off a video game, it’s pretty good…there’s of course the HBOified parts of it that could be done without IMO but great action, graphics, and adventure if you are into fantasy type settings.

Hemsworth presents as much younger to me than Cavill, so I’m wondering if they’ll do some “prequel” work or try to continue the main storyline.

News flash! Cavill gets one more seasons as Geralt and then the ol main actor switcheroo will be pulled, putting Liam Hemsworth in his place. 😮
My wife will disapprove!

It's a pretty good one. I didn't read the books...but my wife did and she still really likes the show. Of course it could just be the Henry Cavill factor with her though.

Downton Abbey: A New Era

Wasn’t it bad enough that these folks couldn’t dress themselves without the help of 15 servants - now they have to invade France? You know the show I’d watch? Move the show to Long Island on the Gold Coast,.

Downton Abbey: Next Door Neighbors to the Hampton Housewives
These three gifs basically are the premise of the whole show.

or even better yet……

Downton Abbey: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The Dowager Widow thinks she is moving the family to Society Hill in Philadelphia, but renovations force them to rent the apartment above Paddy’s Pub.

I started watching "The Peripheral" on Amazon Prime Video yesterday and I am pleasantly surprised. A pretty well done show especially for the scope and magnitude that it deals with. Based on a book by the same name by William Gibson and the show is produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of West World. I highly recommend. There are about five episodes right now and it looks like new episodes come out every Friday.

I know Andor is a slower burn than what most people want...but this was the Star Wars series/movie that I wanted for a long time. Something that is more believable than some of the other works. I think that is what made the original trilogy so appealing to me is that (at least at the time) it seemed like it could be real. After "Jedi" the Star Wars works seemed pretty ridiculous to me. It wasn't until "Mandalorian" that I think the train was back on the track. Even "Mandalorian" though has it's Hokie-ness to it...but so much better. But I think they nailed it with Andor. I mean...I really believe this could be an actual other time other place. I have no idea how many episodes are in this season...but I hope they have a few more at least...I don't think this series is even close to wrapping up or in a place to transition to a new season.

Looked it up...evidently Andor has 12 episodes in the season...meaning the next episode will be the last for season 1.

Watched the first two episodes of Tulsa king last night with Sylvester Stallone, it is awesome. If you take Better call Saul breaking bad and Rocky and mix them together and throw in a little godfather for good measure

Started watching "Wednesday" this week. Just going to say that I am hooked. It's witty and sharp. Humorous and dark. Funny and self deprecating. Dramatic and "spooky". I love deadpan humor and this show is full of it. But it doesn't really have one characteristic over another. I am not going to say that it is the most of anything, because it is not. But the show makes the corner of my mouth turn up over so slightly. Every now and then I laugh out loud. And for the post part I think the acting is pretty good. I am not a big fan of the casting choice of Luis Guzman as Gomez...but it's not horrible either, so I can live with it. Not sure what it is...but this show has me hooked. I am through the first three episodes so my critique is limited. But so far I like what I see. And I LOVE Jena Ortega as Wednesday Addams. I think Tim Burton has a great series in the making.

I’d be interested to hear what you think about it
We’re through the first two episodes and so far so good! It has at least 2 of the original cast…hoping for at least a cameo of a couple more. Story is good so far, with some humor, a bit of a retro feel, a bit campy…should be fun to see where they take it!

I think he’s a very talented director/producer! Very creative mind!
I thought it was a cute show too. I didn't think I would like it but I was surprised. I have to say that unfortunately within the first 20 or 30 min I had figured out already who were the "bad guys".. Guzman is honestly the closest casting to what the original comic strip had him drawn as that they ever have done looks wise.. I thought he did okay in the role.
