Trials of a woodpusher: Adventures in chess, backyard gardening, and maybe whisker chopping

Feb.17 ASD2/Astra SP(1) ............ Paladin Sumo ........... Cella ....................................... Stetson milk

Bridge was a blast yesterday afternoon and chess was a roller coaster. I should have lost horribly, then ended up with a won game, then blundered into a loss, but ended up with a draw as my opponent was low on time.

A pretty good shave this morning to start the day. The new Astra SP didn't tug overly much and nary a nick nor blip was encountered.

Soooo..... Was it a good day or bad?

Feb.18 ASD2/Astra SP(2) ............ Paladin Sumo ........... Cella ....................................... Stetson milk

A typical non-noteworthy shave this morning. Lathered up my nearly finished Cella and removed some scruff. By my thinking, either tomorrow or Monday should be the end of this soap.

Yesterday's -17C/1F wind chill was a marked contrast to Wednesday's 15C/59F. Thankfully, we're now back to balmy temperatures just below freezing. Works for me!

Feb.19 ASD2/Astra SP(3) ............ Paladin Sumo ........... Cella ....................................... Stetson milk

Just over 3 1/2 months with my little red tub of Cella and today was its last shave. It's a good, solid performing soap that works for me. Tomorrow, I start with my TFS Rasozero Barbacco.

The secret of 3017ing is that it can stimulate buying, through its clearing of shelves. Many of us who congregate on shaving forums cannot bear to see empty space where there could be another soap or two. Therefore, 3017ing is good for the economy, Good For America, and good for your wallet, making it both Patriotic and sensible.

Feb.20 ASD2/Astra SP(1) ............ Paladin Sumo ........... TFS Rasozero Barbacco .......... Stetson milk

This was my first use of a TFS Rasozero product (well, any TFS product actually!) and the Barbacco was really nice. It loaded super easy and produced a nice and slick lather for an easy-peasy shave. I was expecting a few days would be needed to dial it in, but, nope, it was more than good enough right out of the gate. This bodes well for the next few months.

Another nice shave with the Rasozero Barbacco this morning. When lathered up, the scent is much more muted than what you get when you stick your schnozz into the container and inhale.
