Congrats on the pick-ups, Jim!! I debated getting a set, but with it being heavy in vetiver, I couldn't justify it.
 
Well, they didn't sell out so I am gonna cancel the second order. Nobody I know who wanted one missed out, and I don't want to sit on it when they didn't sell out. I am hoping I can work out a video review for this thing, including the unboxing.

If anyone is still tempted they have some still in stock!
 
I am surprised that they didn't sell out! But this might be a case where they priced them
selves out of their product.
 
I don’t think it’s outrageously priced. I really wanted to get one, but I just don’t have the extra money to justify it, especially with some of my recent purchases.

Probably a good market experiment. They now know the limit on pricing. My guess is that they're not going to be losing money if they sell half of them, but what do I know?

You are likely right. I think they will likely sell them all...it just won't be in the 10 minutes their other products did.
 
I think they hit the right balance of price versus availability. Last year's Tell Tale Heart was $50 cheaper for one soap, one splash, one EdT. They made 200 units and it took 12 hours to sell out.

This year's had double the splash and EdT, they made 500 units, and it sold out in 14 hours. Either way I am very glad I got my order in. The theme was a winner for me, and the scent profiles sealed the deal.

Also, the super fast sellout of Tangerine Creeper was a surprise to them, as nothing they made had ever sold out so quickly. I don't think they would use that standard to judge the success of a release. They did sell all of these, but fewer people missed out, so I actually see that as helping their image. Nobody who was online last night was left empty-handed.
 
I remembered this time and got one,, and they are sold out which I expected. I agree with eveyrone here, it is about the experience and the show will be fun to get the set
 
I was there and contemplated it. But i opted to pass on it. Hope I don't regret it.
 
Sharon had a Coronary when she found out what I spent, but I built here a porch for her she shed the next day, so i missed a bullet, LOL

Smooth move!

SWMBO has really come around to understanding how much I enjoy the Holy Black releases, and plus this counts as my Christmas present. Since I am not buying several soaps a month anymore, the cost of this didn't even raise her eyebrows. Plus she has acknowledged an accurate comparison to what she spends on purses and leggings on a regular basis. So all is well at the West Nest!

This my friend in investigations is what we call a "Smoking Gun." I hope you recorded it, videoed it, or properly submitted it into evidence for future use. How you got her to confess...we will never know. But you sir have the golden pass!
