The Holy Black Halloween Release

Jeckyll doesn't sound too bad, but Hyde doesn't sound like anything close to my wheelhouse...about the opposite. Wasn't really in the market for this set, but this kind of sealed the deal. There are plenty of vetiver fans here, however, who would jump all over these.

That is quite the buildup and description! Hopefully setting up for success though!

I’m a bit surprised at the AS and EDT sizes. That’s a TON of AS! Awesome! I think I expected to see the EDT size to be bigger too though.

Ok ok ok the scent notes on this one definitely have my interest peaked. I seriously doubt I will be able to spend the price for it however if it goes for south of 150$ i may attempt it

I agree. "Dark" scents always make me think of Night Music which I want to stay far away from.

Photo updates! Looks like they are aiming for the first Friday in October, and they want to keep the price point below $200

Shoot I'd be tempted at that price but no way does my internet move quick enough to beat the rush. Nice update, Thanks

If you got in right when it started, I bet you could get it.
I've learned with Paladin Drops I can't compete especially at Midnight. I only get 5-6 hours sleep as it is. Ain't giving up the little bit I get til the Cpap gets to me.

well, it not exactly the same as Paladin. You’re not fighting for one specific item. You’re fighting for 1 of 300 items. I think they said last time it sold out in 6-7 minutes, not a few seconds like some paladins vanish. Still, if you want it, and need your beauty sleep, I’m sure someone would get one for you.....

Man they have some absolutely stunning packaging! Not going to be for me, but it looks great!

Another new photo dropped!

If someone definitely wants it but cannot make the midnight drop, let me know and I will try to help out.

I love vetiver, of all that they have done this one would be the most interesting to me. I have never tried the soap but I do like their regular pomade, the matte clay is good but I cant use it.

I was poking around on the internet some while back and from what I found in old Reddit posts THB has been around longer than I thought and according to some posts (old ones) they came close to ticking of the reddit community (I forget the name of it, I'm not a reddit guy). It is safe to assume they didn't end up ticking too many people off because they have pretty successful releases. I watched early videos of them making soap...at least one of them has a hefty man beard. I always thought it odd that those making or selling shaving soaps and supplies would be fully bearded.

I am not likely to ever buy THB soaps but i definately give them credit for being cool. Their packaging and imagery really elevates the appearance and if what they make smells good (and is at least middle of the road in performance) then it makes sense they would be able to carve out a niche market.

I'd wish them luck with this release but I am sure they don't need it.

Most seem to say that the soap performance is average, not stellar..... but I'm really intriqued, like Chris, because it's vetiver. I'm contemplating.... but even though at under $200, it seems not too outrageous, that's still a lot of Quan.

The Tangerine Creeper I have is above average performance. Maybe not top of tier 1 on Chad's scale but I would still put it bottom tier 1 or very top tier 2. The "experience" does bump it up a bit, but just looking at performance...it's a solid soap...cooling effect aside. Don't know if that helps or not.

I agree that performance is pretty good, especially the tallow version they use for these special releases. Their normal veggie base is still Tier 1 for me, and their scents are always pretty good. But like Don said, the overall experience is what really makes the product a must-have for me.
