Well I got the Harry’s save cream in a box of stuff awhile back and today I figured I would give it a go. Small dab in the bowl and I began the attempt at lathering. Yup...a brushless cream. Well I got some lather created and as I was about to do a one pass shave it really didn’t matter all that much. Not all that bad but certainly not great for me anyway. Post shave feel is good enough. It will go to Mrs S to see if she can get any use out of it.

Have a good one!

Snowy day here but it won’t be sticking around for long. Wanted something minty today so a shot of pure spearmint was in order.

Grabbed a slant instead of the AS-D2 which had been getting major billing on my SOTDs since it’s arrival. Loaded up with a Gillette Platinum it is a fine shaver in its own right.

Lovely two lovely pass shave was just the ticket. Topped off with some AdiP Colonia Essenza and we are good to go! Enjoy hump day it’s all downhill to the weekend from here.

Stay safe!

Carrying on with the slant theme and so the Merkur 39C. The “sledge hammer” is not a razor I reach for typically in fact, rarely does it ever finds itself in my SOTD. I rather prefer the 37C or the iKon slant I have. Now the 39C has the exact same head as the 37C but the long, barber pole handle is a bit of a pain to grip. Anyway, enough belly aching on with the shave.

Soap of the day Executive Man by Stirling. Lovely soap and well known to many here. Aventus scent it is and a good one.

Lovely two pass shave and good to go. Enjoy your day.

Happy Friday all! Today I grabbed the Fatboy to celebrate the day. Much has been discussed about the Fatboy and whether adjustable razors are worth the bother or really get much use as most people set it and forget it. I think the Fatboy and it’s thinner relative the Slim are fantastic. I have and often do travel with a Fatboy or Slim because I enjoy the convenience of dialling up or down my shave. Especially useful when you’ve been in the sun all day and want to go easy on the face for your shave. Loaded up with a fresh Kai SS.

Friday it is and we’ll add the “13” with Dr Jon’s 13 and the matching AS. A double dose of manly goodness.

Lovely two pass shave and we are ready for the weekend! Topped it off with some Homme L’eau Boisee to represent Guerlain of course! Ah @GearNoir let’s hope the Guerlain Elf rewards my loyalty! Have a great weekend all!

I always thought that was the point: adjustables allow you to find the best blade gap for you personally. The FB is my favorite adjustable - fits my hand perfectly. Have a great weekend, Ed!
It is the point but some guys will set at say "5" and never move it. Nothing wrong with that but I will use "2" on the day when I want a super mild but close shave and say "7" when I want to clear cut the beard on pass one and roll back down the numbers until its BBS. I love the flex...
