Samanure harvest time?Being the Yin to Ed's Yang, I simply ....... smell.
A lovely Sunday afternoon shave. No muss and no fuss. Reached for the Mergress today loaded with a Gillette Platinum. The regular short handled Progress is a thing of beauty but this hot rod version is exceptional. Just a smooth shaver.
B&M Seville today and this one lathers so easily in comparison to the Leviathan. It isn’t the new base and maybe I have more experience lathering it but it is a joy of a soap. Matching AS splash is excellent.
Lovely two pass shave topped off with some AdiP Colonia and some Duke Cannon Ice Cold Balm to finish it all up. Enjoy your Sunday Cadre and stay safe.

Well maybe a day late but never a dollar short! AS-D2 today loaded up with a fresh Gillette Rubie. It has blown all my usage stats out of the water since it’s arrival and it continues to dominate the SOTD.
B&M Tuesday today as a new lavender bath soap has hit the rotation and it was so good I had to dig out the Lavender and Violet goodness that is this shave soap. Yes it is Winter and we couldn’t be farther away from the Lavender de Provence but it is such a great scent and again, such an easy lathering soap.
A wonderfully relaxing shave. Cold and grey out but it’s sunny and well scented in here! Enjoy your day!

Happy Boxing Day! What an awesome shave today! Loaded up the AS-D2 with its namesake blade and truly a stellar performance. I don’t normally like the Feather blades but today everything worked quite well.
Stirling Agar was on deck for today and the more I use it the more I enjoy the scent. Matching AS is more of the same goodness.
Lovely three pass shave and BBS for Boxing Day! Reached for the new Guerlain Ambre Eternal that the Guerlain Fairy (My SIL) dropped off for Christmas and WOW! It is possibly the most decadent of scents I have. Stay safe Cadre!

Quiet Tuesday shave. Was feeling a little woodsy so today’s soap was TOBS Cedarwood with HetV Falls’s Lumberjack balm which has cedar and pine in abundance!

Out with the old in with the new...well, new old stock anyway. New Year’s Eve shave. Today is a time to reflect on what has been good, bad and indifferent. Take stock of accomplishments and failures...plan for change and work on lessons learned. Despite it having been perhaps the worst year in recent history (for the whole planet) there is still things to be thankful for. Love, life, family and happiness and good friendships.
Today was all about the NOS stuff. Shulton Old Spice soap in its mug and Musk AS both from Toronto. Never used by me and I must say what they say is true. Our Dad’s had it right! The stuff smells incredible and honestly the soap can shame many a modern day equivalent. So good.
Razor of choice a NOS 48-50 Gillette A’crat cased and found by my lovely Bride at a thrift store. Complete and shiny as the day it was made and sold. I have shaved with it once before but it had sat in the case too long. Loaded up with a fresh GSB.
Lathered up and throughly enjoyed a beautiful, three pass shave. Just taking it all in and working through the problems and triumphs of 2020. BBS indeed. Topped it off with some Old Spice Musk AS and VR Spice Bomb! Well, if 2021’s shaves are better than this one it will be a phenomenal year. Let’s hope shall we.
