Happy Friday! Actually, Black Friday to be exact! Back to the Karve with the B plate and the Voskhod. Time to switch everything out and get back to the rotation! Great combo though and truly an enjoyable razor regardless if you are using SB or OC plates. Though my experience ends at the D SB and B OC respectively. Nothing beyond that interested me and I glad I went within that range.

Soap today Cafe au Lait from A&E. Great coffee and chocolate scent. Also, love the way this one lathers which is easy. I have said it in the past, I really must get some more of their stuff but I am stacked pretty tall.

Clean and smooth after two very enjoyable passes. Topped off with Guerlain Santal Royal. Oh coffee, chocolate and sandalwood DO go very well together. Enjoy your Friday, weekend and stay safe!

Wet brush and a 15 second load did the trick. It is an odd scent but a good one though the jury is still out.

I have been truly enjoying the AS-D2 but today I reached for the General instead. I am happy I picked this razor up from KJ because it is just a pleasure to use. Nicely weighted and balanced and I haven’t found a bad AC blade yet.

First Line Shave Blue Label today as the soap of choice with the matching AS.

Lovely shave topped off with Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale. Smooth as can be.

It is so good and I dare say, I should have got a paw to one a long time ago. I could easily flip back and forth between the AS-D2 and the General and be quite happy all around.

I can't speak for previous versions of this soap but It took far more than any soap I own to dial in, that is the first part and I have over 90 so that says something. Second, the scent is odd, not off putting just odd and you really don't have an"item" or component to latch on to. Sometimes you'll get that note that is instantly recognizable...leather, citrus, lavender...etc. With this version of Leviathan (2020) it is a healthy mix of Russian leather, coffee, sandalwood and musk but there is no standout component that I can latch on to. Different reviewers have stated to give it a bit of time to get used to the scents and I do like it but its an odd one for me.
 
Happy Friday! It is wet and slushy but it is Friday and so it goes. AS-D2 in for the General today as really there was not much to do. Mild is so very good.

RazoRock Plague Doctor with the matching AS topped off with Gucci Pour Homme.

Happy Friday, Ed! My wife is off today, so we slept in (after 7am out-of-bed time for me!) and just finished off some blueberry pancakes from scratch for lunch.
