AS-D2 again today but loaded up with a Bolzano Superinox blade. I haven’t used a Bolzano in awhile and not in the Feather at all. So today I loaded one up.

Let’s carry on with the shave sticks. Today I reached for the Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick which oddly enough has a Vetiver note to its scent. Quite good as a scent and quite a good shave stick producing a good lather that is slick pretty easily indeed. I enjoy the Palmolive SS by this one has a more pronounced scent of Vetiver to it.

Lovely shave achieved and to expand on that Vetiver note I reached for the Fine Fresh Vetiver AS which was perfect. Topped it off with Bvlgari Man EDT. Happy Thursday!

Fatboy Friday! Not that, that is a thing with me but it is today! I am blessed with two very minty Fatboys one from 1960 and a cased super clean 1959. This 60 is from Texas!

Soap of the day and continuing with the shave stick theme, Atko! @woodpusher was kind enough to include 1 1/3 sticks of the stuff in a pif! Apparently it was smuggled out of Turkey by Sam himself! I will leave you with the mental image of our resident chess master trying to hide a case of the stuff in his luggage! Lovely stuff simply put.

Lovely shave with Fatboy in hand achieved! Topped off with some Brut AS and some Guerlain Habit Rouge. May you enjoy your weekend Cadre! Stay safe.

Happy Monday. After the weekend hiatus of non-shaving we are back at it today. It is nice to relax the face a bit and I am toying with growing the full beard but not quite yet.

Today’s razor of choice the Karve CB with the C SB plate and loaded with a Bolzano. The Karve is a great razor and I have the original brass version. Quite happy with it and of course quite happy that it is a Canadian company.

Stirling Gatlinburg was the soap choice today. Boom! The matching AS is just as good. Just a great grab you by the “boo-boo” scent.

Lovely shave and smooth as can be. Enjoy your Monday and hopefully your week goes well. Stay safe.

Quite a lovely shave. Decided to revisit the Karve CB again this morning though with the B SB plate instead and a fresh Voskhod. I truly do enjoy the Voskhod in just about every razor I have. Just super comfortable.

Lovely two passer today was all that was needed to get all clean and smooth.

I have to say I am really enjoying the Oud Essentiel. Especially on the dry down...
Sounds like a good one on paper, though Rose seems to be rather high up on the detectability scale. How does it carry off as a whole to you?

It really is quite subtle and only initially. On the dry down it fades a bit and you are left with quite a nice Oud. If you aren’t a fan of Rose and you aren’t you’ll need to try it.

Epic! Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating the day!

Karve CB with the B SB plate and loaded with a Voskhod. Smooth and mild. Great combo.

Reached for CBL Cigar Shop Cowboy which really is a fav scent of mine along with a few other CBL soaps, Dragons Blood, Iron Throne etc. The scent of leather is apparent and just so great a part of the overall scent.

Fantastic three pass shave all the while enjoying the scent of the shave. Topped off with some vintage Avon Leather and Guerlain Derby. Perfection! Take care, safe travels and please be safe!
