So on the non-shaving front, yesterday I had a beautiful Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop delivered in orange with a marigold print. Got a scroll case for it in a dark brown leather and a Dingbats A5 lined notebook with cream pages and also in a fetching orange.

Today I loaded it up with one of included carts in black and set about my daily notebook tasks for work. Now I have never used a fountain pen let alone own one but I have looked at them forever. It is a nicely weighted pen that feels solid in the hand. So I wanted something that wasn’t black (way too many black pens in the world) and colourful. The pen comes with a fine nib and I would put it at under 0.7mm for sure and probably in the area of a 0.4mm. It is beautiful to write with. Now it took a little bit to figure it out but there where no issues. I am truly looking forward to bringing cursive back and starting a journal.

It is truly well made and completely vegan friendly....no leather at all. Paper is lovely and designed for fountain pens. Need some fine inks down the road and I will be set.
I keep a bottle of this lovely smelling stuff at work :)

Do you love lavender? I love the smell of it, I have it in my garden and in the spring and summer it wafts by on the warm breeze as we enjoy glasses of Bordeaux on the back deck. Well we are truly far from that at the moment and there will be no wine or any other spirit enjoyed until February so...we shave!

I love British Gillette razors and consider them to be the best of the bunch though I several US made A’crats which I also admire. Today I reached for one of my 4th Gen British A’Crats from one of my #66 sets. This one is a “patent pending” version as my other has the patent and the “II” engraved on the underside. Both are pretty minty and are solid and stunning beauties! Loaded up with a fresh Personna Super or Lab Blue.

Soap of the day...gloriously lavender B&M Tuesday with the matching AS splash. Preceded of course by a lovely English lavender bar soap during the morning shower.

An incredible sensory overloading shave was had. All that glorious lavender goodness was topped off with Gucci Pour Homme which on dry down, leaves you with hints of more lavender and other assorted goodness. Not a bad start to the mid-week blah! Enjoy your day. Stay safe.
