To say I was in need of a shave and a haircut would be an understatement so it certainly was on the agenda for today! Razor of choice the 1953 Super Speed commonly referred to as a 40s style Super Speed. This particular one is quite nice and came cased from a buddy in Texas. Never really comes up much in rotation but it was an excellent choice for the mess of beard I had to cut through.

Soap of the day Stirling Weekend in Malibu. Great scent and instantly takes me away to tropical vacations. But alas, only my new backyard paradise in my future. No biggie, it’s pretty choice on the new deck!

Lovely two pass DFS and smooth as needed for today. Topped off with some EL Tahitian Waters EDP and we are back to a normal state of grace. So this shave landed firmly between Malibu and Tahiti....so Honolulu! Enjoy the sun for those able to enjoy it!

Could totally go for some Honolulu right now! Was already missing it the second my foot touched the plane home.

I think we could all go for a little Island Time right about now!
Good hear you got a damn decent shave, hermano.
Hermano I was getting very fuzzy and very much NOT like me! :p You know when the Bride is like "did someone rob all your shaving stuff? and proffers the "Lady Bick" razor??!! :cautious:

Well now Cadre I just received a “drop and go” visit from one of my fav Cadre members @woodpusher! Sam being ultimately concerned with this SuperModel's hydration in light of all the patio lounging occurring at Villa Somnos dropped off this guy!

Happy Sunday to all! Today’s shave was focused around one of my all time favourite scents, ADP Colonia! It really is just an incredible scent and any soap or aftershave proffering that scent profile is a winner in my book.

On that note, there is no finer AFP inspired scent than...errrrr, Fine Italian Citrus. I need not expand further. My first two soaps were Fine Italian Citrus and Fresh Vetiver bought on a whim and blind. Got truly lucky and enjoy them every chance I get when they come up in rotation. Honestly though the “deserted island” soap would be Italian Citrus!

Reached again for my trusty 53 Super Speed but loaded a fresh GSB this time out. I find myself gravitating to GSB and Rubie these days more than Voskhod or Polsilver which I have large stashes of. Need to work the Kai Super Stainless blades into the rotation. I have way too many blades but have fun rotating different blades into razors and testing them out!

Lovely two pass DFS/BBS and we’re cleared to “Q”...man I am headed for the grill and the back deck for some quality lounging! Have a lovely Sunday Cadre and stay safe!

What a lovely shave, hermano! Can't go wrong with ADP! I know my beak with live in that soap if I had it. Damn it. Looks like something to add to the shopping cart. It's been perfect for this Tejas weather. A light, fresh, and crisp scent. Muy bueno!

Decided to shake things up a little this morning. Reached for Musgo Real Spiced Citrus shave cream which I haven’t used in awhile. A light but very nice spiced citrus scent. Scent notes from Musgo describe it as an oriental fougere with citrus, warm spices and incense. Smells very nice and as a shaving cream Musgo Real has always been good. I have five of their scents. Not cheap but if you can find it on sale it’s worth a try.

Karve CB with the C SB plate was on deck today loaded with a GSB. I love the combo and it is comfortable to use.

Lovely two pass DFS and I topped off with Stirling Satsuma AS which is also a spiced citrus accord and some ADP Essenza. Happy hump day! Stay safe!
