Well I reached for the Supply V2 today to get back to using an SE and even though I had the three dot plate in after three lengthy passes I was left with less than a desirable shave. So much so I reached for a Gillette Blue Tip loaded with a Super Max for a clean up pass. I won’t blame the razor it most certainly is my technique.

Oh well, better next time.

Well after the lacklustre shave with the Supply V2 I decided I would stack the deck for this mornings shave. Never a bad shave has been had by me with the Merkur Mergress in hand and today was no exception. Loaded with a Kai Super Stainless blade this could very well be the desert island razor. I dialled it to 2 1/2 and went at it.

Soap of the day was Stirling Agar which I have mentioned in the past and yes, still beak jamming in the tub worthy. I don’t know how he did it but man is this scent awesome!

Two very nice passes with a little touch up and near BBS. A night and day difference over the Supply V2. Now and again I don’t blame the razor it is the only one if it’s type I have. I will simply devote more time to it. Anyway, lovely shave which I topped off with some Prada Amber Homme Intense which is a perfect match for Agar IIMHO.

Have a good one Cadre!

Cool labeling on the Dr Jon’s!
I was bummed by the shave and didn’t even mention how great the soap was. Very cool packaging but more importantly a great vegan soap. The V3 I am told lathers better but having no other to compare it to I can say it lathers very well. However, there is little residual slickness so you can’t go all Stirling or CBL with it...reapply that lather. Great scent though with a dark, earthy lavender being at the heart of it.

A wonderful Sunday shave courtesy of a fine Gillette Red Tip! I let myself get fuzzy and so I reached for the Red Tip and had at it.

Today’s soap was one I haven’t reached for in awhile Sapone di Paolo Menta. Lovely minty goodness and a great performing soap. Have to try the rebranded “11” offerings someday.

Two beautiful passes was all that was needed to get to DFS level. No more no less. Lovely Sunday shave!

@NurseDave it is spearmint goodness and the matching balm even more so. Sadly I should have bought two tubs but oh well....

I chuckled when I saw your beak jamming comment 🤣 I had forgotten all about that
