Steve's Journal: The Saga Continues....

I redid my kitchen and bathroom. Completely stripped them, new floors, drywall, paint, custom cabinets and counter tops, new appliances.... Even worked on building the cabinets and counters, and broke my nose drilling the hole to install the sink cabinet....
Unfortunately, although I'm a lot closer to you than Dave is, I am not free this weekend. Actually helping to assemble another counter top.

Besides..... I don't think you could pay me correctly. I would require pizza, but I don't think it would be the right stuff from there.

Why would you drill a hole with your nose ? No wonder you feel older................ :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Shave Time!

Razor:
RR GC .84P
Blade: Parker
Brush: Stirling Kong Synthetic
Soap: WSP Barbershop
AS: WSP Barbershop/Nivea Sensitive ASB

The GC is still as comfortable as ever, but as is the case with any other razor I've used I'm getting irritation after 4 consecutive shaves. Nothing crazy, but it's there. Hence the Nivea balm I included in my post shave today. I might take tomorrow off and then get back to it on Saturday. I'm also trying to commit to getting at least 1 open blade pass per shave starting on Saturday.

Had a dentist appointment this morning. Thankfully no cavities, but I have a lot of work done on my front teeth (fillings and bonding) from not taking care of them when I was younger. Now that stuff is starting to show a little wear and it's time to start planning on either fixing that stuff or doing something else like veneers. I'd love to do the veneers because I'm a little self conscious about my teeth, but it's reallllllly expensive lol.

Willie is still being Willie. It's his world, we're just living in it lol.

Shave Time!

Razors:
Diane shavette/Razorock GC .84P
Blades: Personna Hairshaper/Parker
Brush: Stirling Kong Synthetic
Soap: CBL Oud Minerale
AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Day one of integrating an open blade to the daily shave. Today went surprisingly better than any other attempt. I only used the shavette for my WTG pass but it was a big improvement. I’m not sure what I did different exactly but it worked. The Game Changer took care of the rest with no problem. Walked away BBS today, no asterisk necessary!

Took the car to the dealership for an oil change since they sent me a coupon. Other than that just a lazy Saturday. The bathroom work got pushed back to next weekend since my buddy that’s been helping me out couldn’t make it.

Willie World:

As I type this a thunderstorm has rolled in. Willie is not amused...

Great...now you have to show me up with the Shavette Shave! Good one today! Love that Oud Minerale also! Give Willie a scratch behind the ears for me!

What's this? Need someone to hold your hand? Let Willie in there, he'll get it done! You know, after reading the comments here, you better make sure your buddy never broke his nose drilling a hole before you accept his help. Some people's kidz....

Shave Time!

Sunday:

Razor:
Razorock Game Changer .84P
Blade: Parker
Brush: TSC 1st Anniversary Sorrentino Cashmere "Nola"
Soap: WSP Blackbeard
AS: WSP Blackbeard

No open blade pass on Sunday as we got an late invite to an impromptu BBQ and I was in a hurry. So 2 passes with the GC and I was DFS+ and ready to roll. All the talk of the podcast that @dangerousdon found on the true history of Blackbeard had me reaching for the same scent. This is probably in my top 3 scents so naturally it didn't disappoint.

Monday:

Razor: Diane shavette/Razorock Game Changer .84P
Blade: Personna Hair Shaper/Parker
Brush: TSC 1st Anniversary Sorrentino Cashmere "Nola"
Soap: WSP Blackbeard
AS: WSP Blackbeard

So I must have eaten something funny at the BBQ because I was up all night with an upset stomach. I actually called out of work for only the 2nd time in 8 1/2 years because I didn't sleep at all. So when the alarm went off I went back to sleep for a bit and then was up for an late morning/early afternoon shave. Stuck with the same set up except for the addition of the shavette. I'm still not really comfortable with it, but I can feel an improvement which is good. Now I'm getting ready to head out to my "investment" listing, the carriage house that needs some work. I got a call yesterday afternoon and scheduled an appointment to show it to a prospective buyer. Fingers crossed!

I hate calling out of work (hence 2 call outs in the last 8 1/2 years) because I know that even though we hired a backup for my position, I'll still be walking into basically nothing having been done while I was out today. Not looking forward to that. On the plus side I had a pretty good weekend with a BBQ and some qt with the wife.

Willie World:
Willie must have not been feeling good today either because he wouldn't nap and kept crying to go out. And of course every time I took him out he did nothing but sniff around lol. He seems to be ok now though...maybe he was just confused because I was home and his momma wasn't...
