Steve's Journal: The Saga Continues....

Shave TIme!
Razor:
Gillette Fatboy
Blade: Wilkinson Sword
Brush: TSC Anniversary "Nola" Cashemere
Soap: Oz Shaving Tik Tok
AS: Oz Shaving Tik Tok

After seeing @uacowboy use the Tik Tok sample from the Oz passaround yesterday, I decided to pull my tub out. In the past, I have had issues getting a good lather from this particular soap. Today was much better. Lathered up just as well as any other Oz soap which is pretty good. I'm still not sold on this scent though. It might not be for me....I might not hang on to it. But the jury is still out. Otherwise a nice shave today. 3 pass DFS. Can't complain. Still playing catch up on everyone else's journals but I'm getting there lol.

Kicking the driving up a notch with the step son. He takes his test in June for his license...he still needs a lot of practice though lol.

Willie World:
I caught him looking at condos in Florida last night on Realtor.com. This cold weather must really be getting to him 😂😂😂

Shave Time!
Razor:
Rockwell 6C Plate 4
Blade: Parker
Brush: TSC Anniversary Cashmere "Nola"
Soap: WSP Barbershop
AS: WSP Barbershop

Quick entry today. Great razor. Great brush (probably going to be my everyday for a while!). Great soap/as. I know I still have many other brands to try, but WSP is probably my favorite soap. I get the best lathers and from this stuff and the scents are great. Walked away BBS so not complaining at all!

Going back and forth with the sellers trying to get a deal together where I have the buyer. His girlfriend is a co-worker of my wife so it's been a pretty laid back process on my end.

Willie World:
Willie was chilling last night while we watched the Phillies game. His sister Lucy was not lol. We found out that she really likes to chase the ball on the TV screen. So we were constantly chasing her off the entertainment stand, which kind of turned into a game for her lol. Whatever gets her some exercise I guess! @Majorrich has his Safety Cats, well I'd call Lucy my Danger Cat!

It wasn’t one of these, but I did have one run headlong full speed into the television screen chasing whatever she thought she saw. In those days the screen was heavy thick glass, so we weren’t worried about the tv. Lol. Cats are hysterical fun, especially when they think they are protecting or hunting something.

Shave Time!
Razor:
Rockwell 6C Plate 4
Blade: Parker
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: CBL Oud Minerale
AS: The Veg/Avon Spicy

So a couple of things. The Stirling boar had a really hard time building a decent lather today, but I think it stemmed from having a hard time loading the soap. The Oud Minerale is in a pretty small tub and I think that was the problem. I had to go back to reload the brush 3 times, but eventually got that great CBL slickness! The boar also is no longer shedding at all! The shave went down pretty good, my standard 4 pass with no cleanup and I walked away almost completely BBS. Just a few spots on the neck that always give me a hard time. Can't complain though. Now on to the AS....So at first sniff off the bottle, my wife hated The Veg. She told me not to even try it lol. @uacowboy told me you can't go by that because it has to mix with your body chemistry. Only then will you know if you are "chosen". I did exactly that and I thought it was mixing pretty well, and then the wife smelled it and said she hated it lol. I don't think it was really given a fair chance as it was only applied a few minutes prior to her smelling it and didn't have time to dry down. I washed it off anyway and went with the Avon Spicy. Tomorrow I'll try again but I'll wait until she leaves for work hahahaha!
