Steve's Journal: The Saga Continues....

I’m not gonna lie, I kind of like Drew Breeze too. But I can’t stand Sean Payton. I’m now rooting for the Chiefs to win it all haha.

Shave Time!

Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: WWBW Jingle
Soap: GTB (12) 3017 started 1/1
AS: Stirling SDM/Nivea ASB

I thought I was gonna kick the GTB tonight, but there’s still some left. Like Chad said over in the 3017 thread, at least 3. I’ll probably transfer what’s there into my Old Spice mug and condense it to make for a better lather.

I did finish off the last of my Stirling Sharp Dressed Man AS tonight. I’ll be re-upping that for sure. Probably with the soap as well.

I switched out the Rockwell 6c for the first time since I got it. I felt I was getting a little to comfortable with the mindlessness of it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I just don’t want to get too comfortable. So I grabbed the Fatip Grande and went for a 2 pass WTG/ATG and came out DFS+ with just a small amount of irritation. Not too shabby.

In Other News/Willie’s World:

We had an active shooter incident in at a UPS station about a mile from our house today. None of us were home when it happened. Apparently the gunman was looking for his ex girlfriend for whatever reason. He took her and another woman hostage. The police eventually shot and killed him, everyone else went home un injured. It’s scary, and such a shame that these things keep happening.

While all of this was going on, I think Willie was freaking out. I’m sure there was a lot of noise around here as it happened about a mile from our house. He is definitely acting like something is wrong and won’t leave anyone’s side, unless it’s to go hide under a bed. He must have been pretty scared with whatever he heard. I’m sure he’ll be fine by tomorrow though.

Poor Willie. To quote Craig “that’s nothing a shot of whiskey wouldn’t fix”. Bottoms up Willie!

Glad you’re safe...the Cadre is having quite a start to the new week!

Shave Time!

Razor: Stirling DE3P6
Blade: Voskhod (?)
Brush: WWBW Jingle
Soap: GTB (12) 3017 started 1/1
AS: Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood

I hadn't used the Stirling DE in a while, so I reached for it. I found it already loaded with a Voskhod that looked pretty new so I went with it. I’m not sure if I had previously loaded this up and didn’t use it or what.

I walked away DFS/DFS+ with 2 passes and a bit of touch up. Can’t complain about that.

I went with the Vanilla Sandalwood AS sample from my Christmas goodies. Out of the bottle and even a few hours later, all I’m getting is vanilla. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but probably not something I’ll invest in for a full size soap or AS.

In Other News...

I got a nice delivery yesterday and forgot to mention it.

Spring Training tickets! This will be the 4th year for the missus and I, and we’re really excited. We always go with the same couple that we’ve been friends with for years and it’s a great time. We'll be there for the St. Paddy’s day game for the second time this year so everyone is looong forward to that.

Willie World:

We're not sure if the events that took place in town yesterday were upsetting Willie, or if it was his stomach. He was having some...bathroom issues today lol. Hopefully it passes soon!

Spring training sounds like fun! Any chance to meet the players while you’re there?

Willie needs some doggie Tums!

Haha whatever it was seems to have run its course with Willie. He was pretty upset about it last night though!

Yes Chris, we’ve met a couple of players. If you get to the ballpark early enough you can walk right down to the field. We usually hang out right behind the Phillies bullpen, which just so happens to be right next to the Tiki Bar in left field! So there are always a lot of players hanging out there. We’ve also met a few minor leaguers that play for the Clearwater team, as well as the GM for the Clearwater Threshers. If you buy him a drink he’ll let you wear his World Series ring.
His only rules are you have to make a fist and you can’t smile.

It is really hard to beat a day at the ball park. I love going to the triple A games here.
