Shave Time!

Razor: Rockwell 6c Plate 5
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: WWBW Jingle 2 Band
Soap: GTB (9) 3017 started 1/1
AS: Stirling Almond Creme

So tonight I went with a quick 2 pass shave. WTG and ATG. Walked away with a nice DFS and absolutely no irritation. It’s amazing how much better everything looks with no irritation, even if the shave isn’t as close as you’d like. I went with the 2 pass since I’ll likely be shaving again in the morning.

I tried another one of the Stirling samples my wife got me for Christmas. Almond Creme has a decent strength to it out the gate, but fades quickly. The scent is hard to describe. It almost has a Cherry vibe to it. Not really in my wheel house, but not bad.

I’ve also been doing a little research on my Wild West Brushworks brush. I’ll have to ultimately reach out to Derek, but I’m not exactly sure what kind of knot this is. I know it’s a 2 band badger, but I’m not sure if it’s also a Silvertip. Either way it’s breakimg in nicely. It only shed maybe 3 hairs and hasn’t shed at all this week. The badger funk is almost completely gone at this point as well. It’s quickly become my favorite brush....until a new one comes along that is lol.

In Other News...

I’m taking the past client/future investor to see 7 properties tomorrow. He has a good idea of how he wants to get started and is very eager to get going. Sounds like we’re going to have a very mutually beneficial relationship. Him and his wife are really nice people, so that really helps too! We don’t mind spending an afternoon together.

Willie World:

I think the recent cold snap is starting to get to Willie a little bit. He only weighs 10lbs, so he gets cold pretty easily. I think it might be bothering his back a little bit too. He’s been spending a lot of time under the blankets the last few days!

Good update and shave. The prospective “partnership” sounds like a good avenue to pursue. My wife worked for a fairly successful mother/son realtor team for a number of years. Relationships are the major portion of the game, the rest is just making sure things fall into place.

You are so right about the benefit of the two pass shave. Sometimes the irritation is just not worth the slight improvement seen in closeness. Most times I attempt Pass 3 when I am feeling in the zone and can push it or when I am just so unhappy with pass 1&2. Either way 30% of the time I regret going for it.

Absolutely Chris. The most important aspect of being a Realtor is being able to deal with people and their emotions lol.

\n\nI’m really starting to learn that the 2 pass shave is what works for me at the moment. My only issue is I shave at night, so if I’m not super close, by morning I’m a little sand papery. But I shaved last night and then did a quick 2 pass this morning, no touch ups, and I’m 100% BBS with no irritation. This morning’s shave was an epiphany of sorts lol. I’ll be logging it after work today.

A little behind on your journal but I will catch up in the next couple of days. Two passes are what I mostly do. Yeah I can get closer with that third and a clean up...but like Mr. Sharp said above...most of the time it isn't worth that little bit of closeness that likely you are the only one who will notice.

Keep Willie Warm! I am sure he will be just fine but the cold does wreck havoc on the joints for those guys. Have you thought about a joint supplement? We give our guys Cosequin. Our vet actually recommended it. After the first couple of weeks you only give a dose every other day so the bottle lasts a really long time. We do believe it helps out. Anyway...keep Willie wrapped up in blankets during the cold!

i have had succes shaving every 36 hours. Switching between night and day shaves. Allows ample time for skin recovery and looking proper at work at least every other day. No one is actually looking how close I shave but me.

Don’s back!!!!

We do give Willie supplements...I can't think of what they’re called at the moment. But he gets 3 pills daily.

Great shave and update. The real estate partnership sounds promising too.

Willie needs a jacket man!

Quick entry today before I head out the door.

Same setup as as usual for the last 2 shaves. Shave 4&5 on the Astra SP and 10&11 on the GTB.

I think the Astra is about ready for the bin. Noticeably not as close of a shave today but still a decent DFS and almost no irritation. Can’t complain too much. I did catch a pimple on my chin and had to pull the styptic out for the first time in a while, but that’s not the blade’s fault.

The Rockwell continues to deliver, although like Dave of the KY clan mentioned, it does make for a mindless shave. When I do switch up razors I’ll really need to pay attention.

As for the GTB, it’s probably got about 1 shave left. I’m pretty disappointed that I misjudged the amount left. I really don’t want that asterisk! Lol.

Getting ready to head out to the in-laws to watch the Eagles/Saints game. Go Birds!!!

Enjoy what’s left of your weekend Steve!

Didn't get to watch the game. Score shows a defensive close game. Bet Don is happy! Hope you had a good time anyway.

We came out swinging and blew a 14-0 lead. The defense kept us in it, but the offense just couldn’t get anything done after the first quarter. Pretty disappointing, but considering how our season went this year with injuries and everything, it’s amazing we even made the playoffs.

Yeah I'm happy...it's the home team. I honestly don't watch a ton of NFL games...but when it comes to the NFL...I'll cheer for the home team. Plus...I mean...how can you not like Drew Brees! The dude just keeps getting better and better it seems! It was a pretty decent game and as Dave mentioned...a pretty good defensive game. I am just interested in seeing how they play against the Rams next week. Now that should be a good game! At least the Saints have home field advantage next week!
