Steve's Journal: The Saga Continues....

I did my first of 2 fantasy football drafts tonight. The wife and I are co-managing this team. She usually does better than me in our other league so maybe she’ll help me win this one. We’ll see.
I swear the last 2 seasons of one of my old work leagues, the teams who autodrafted ended up in at least the semis. It all comes down to who stays healthy. And my wife somehow always does better in that respect...

My step son’s dad did this in our league last year. He had to work an overnight shift when we drafted and said he was just autodrafting. I think he ended the year in 3rd place and made it to the second round of the playoffs 🤦🏻‍♂️

Same here. If I never have to work at the hospital again, I'll be a happy nurse. Looks like it's headed that way. WFH eliminates office politics worries, and each week at home saves me 100 miles of driving.
I am really digging the WFH. I save a daily 70 mile drive, gas, car wear and tear, lunch costs, etc. I really only need to go in when I have to put hands on something.

Shave Time!

Razor:
Fatboy
Blade: Derby Premium
Brush: Sorrentino Caramel Swirl
Soap: CBL Oud Minerale
AS: AV Ice Blue Sport

A day late with this post as this was yesterday’s shave. Can’t go wrong with CBL and I don’t think I can say anything about the soap that hasn’t already been said. It’s top notch!

I’m thinking about rearranging my den and going through everything. It’s been a while since I’ve organized all the gear…

In Other News…
The wife and I went out to dinner with my parents last night for my dad’s birthday. 71 years young this. His health isn’t the best (COPD and emphezyma) but he’s still trucking.

We faired well through the remnants of Ida. Just a little bit of rain here, but 2 towns over has a devastating tornado and parts of Philly and north Jersey got major flooding. Work is going to be busy when I go back next week. In fact, I’ve actually been making calls and emails all morning to prep.

Willie World:
Willie man is all set for a nice relaxing day. We had a wild turkey stroll through the yard this morning. It’s a good thing Willie was inside or he may have been breakfast!

So glad that you faired well and my heart goes out to those who didn't - I saw pictures of the I-676 overpass - I couldn't believe all the water!

Happy B-Day to your dad!

Have a super weekend!

Did you see the video of the guy doing a backflip off the 22nd St. overpass? He’s lucky there weren’t any cars under the surface where he hit the water. Only in Philly…

A couple of really nice shaves. Haven’t used the Game Changer in quite a while. No reason other than the fact that I wasn’t really switching up razors for a while. I think over the last few months I’ve used maybe the same 3 for weeks at a time. So, when I picked up the GC it just so happened to be loaded with the WS blade I used for the One Blade Challenge…yeah I know. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve used this razor. I lost count of the shaves on this blade during the challenge and had to drop out…I actually may have started over with a new blade, I can’t remember. Either way I need To get some more of these blades cause they’re awesome!

Back to work this week and it’s been…work lol. Thankfully our area wasn’t hit to hard by the storms so we aren’t bringing in a ton of flood or storm damaged cars. Just business as usual. A couple things in the works that could put our branch in a significantly better position. As usual it’s hurry up and wait though.

Willie World:
The master of disaster was spoiled with the wife and I being home all week while on vacation. He got a lot of couch time in that’s for sure!
