So after seeing
@TobyC show some love for his Jectah, I decided to grab mine and take it for a spin. My last shave with this razor (which was only my second in total) was pretty rough. I had the completely wrong angle, I think
@woodpusher may have brought that to my attention. So this time I changed it up and I think I had the angle much closer to where it should be, but it still was a little rough. I think after this Wilkinson Sword blade has had enough I’ll spend some time with the Jectah to get it right.
Speaking of the Wilkinson Sword, 39 shaves and still going stronk!
The WSP Barbershop has finally met it’s end. This will be one that I probably replace at some point. It’s really a great scent.
Willie World:
It’s been a really rainy day today, so Willie ain’t happy. Tomorrow is supposed to clear and much warmer though, maybe a nice walk around the neighborhood is in his future.
In Other News...
We had the last roofing company out last night for an estimate. My first impression of the salesperson that showed up wasn’t the best. He pulled out a drone to fly over the house, which was kind of fun I guess, but my reaction was “you’re not even gonna get on the roof dude?”. Turns out his drone approach was better than the other guys that actually went up there because he found a hole in the shingles that the other guys missed. Luckily it’s right on the edge of the peak, so it’s not actually leaking into anything, just over the edge of the house. He was also the only guy that went into the attic to look around. He was a lot more thorough than the others. Also a bit more pricey, but the warranty they’re able to offer through the shingle manufacturer (due to their installation certification) as well as their own workmanship warranty is way better. The shingle manufacturer warranty is limited lifetime, but not prorated after a certain number of years. The workmanship is 25 years. Ultimately I felt that was worth paying a little extra, and honestly it wasn’t really that much more. So hopefully by the end of next week we’ll have a new roof as long as the weather is ok.
