Couple of updates here. Mostly good stuff. Still can’t get that RR WTP Blue dialed in. It always seems to be to dry or to sticky, so I guess I have to just throw more water at it. The straight shave went well today, but it’s noticeable to me that I haven’t been practicing enough lately. I’ll have to try to change that. I think I want to get one of my other 2 straights honed too so I can swap every now and then.
I went a little barbershop crazy and mixed 2 different companies versions of the scent. The 2 different versions are pretty different but went well together.

Super happy about the warm weather we had this week. He’s hoping it sticks around.
In Other News...
I found out last week that my parents are going to sell their house. Naturally they want me to list it, so I had to renew my real estate license here in NJ. It’s a little bittersweet though. I’ll make a little extra money which is nice, but this is the house I grew up in. So it’s a little sad.

No they’re staying in the same area, they just need to downsize. My dad has some health issues and the house too much for them to take care of. And now that it’s just the 2 of them, it’s way more than they need or want anyway lol.

The Fatboy has been getting a lot of love lately and has paired really well with this blade. But to be honest, none of the razors used with this Wilkinson sword have disappointed yet.

The German Wilkinson Sword is my benchmark blade, I'd be OK if they stopped making all other DE blades. I wish they made SE blades, with and without a spine.
I had three AS and two PIF boxes... What to do? I kept the Mahogany and PIFd the others, though they smell great (Gaelic Tweed & Tobacco). So what did I do? Kept the Mahogany and PIFd the others. It's my favorite.

Double shot of shaves. Same gear 2 days in a row. I swapped out the razor to see how the Wilkinson Sword would do in something different and I wasn’t disappointed. This blade is just awesome. No signs of kicking it yet. Still getting DFS to BBS shaves with no irritation and no hassle. I’d say on average, I’ve been getting solid 3 Names BBS* shaves, and that’s ok with me! I’m thinking of going to something milder like a Tech either tomorrow or the day after to see how it goes.
I’m joining @GearNoir in a faux (super faux) 3017. I’ve had this Tin of WSP Barbershop for quite a while. When the matching aftershave kicked the bucket, I strayed away from the soap for some reason. I’m not sure why because I really like the scent, it’s similar to GTB but without the gunpowder lol. I’ll most likely be replacing this as a set in the future, but for now I’m trying to kill it and make some room. It shouldn’t take long since it already had a donut hole, plus we all know I killed a puck of Williams in 12 shaves

Well the warm weather has left Southern NJ and we got some sleet and rain today. Willie was less than amused when it was time to take his walk after work. I wasn’t too thrilled either.
In Other News...
The wife and I have decided it’s time to replace the roof on the house. Between my unexpected bonus and money we already had in savings, we’re able to do it without financing anything. We got our first estimate today, it was pretty much what I was expecting...but it still sucks to shell out that much money for something that is zero fun lol. We’ll be getting a few more estimates this week and next, but I don’t really expect anyone to come in a whole lot cheaper than anyone else.
