SR Shave #16
Couple of nice shaves the last 2 days. Yes, there was more bloodletting today, but that's ok. It wasn't too bad and I'll chalk it up to a learning experience! I haven't been stropping in between passes, but I think I'll start. I'm noticing that when I go longer than 24 hours in between shaves the ATG and XTG pass with the SR is a little rough. I'm wondering if the extra stropping might help.
The end is nigh for the LNHC...well nigh-ish anyway. It's now down to about the size of a 2oz. sample. I might actually get this done by the end of the month!

Not much going on in the world of Willie. Just enjoying some couch time before bed. He's somehow managed to not attack the pillows tonight!
In Other News...
Spent the day at our offsite yard in Philly today. It was nice to be there by myself and just get stuff done...although I'm now a day behind on just about everything else at the branch haha!

Couple of nice shaves the last 2 days. Yes, there was more bloodletting today, but that's ok. It wasn't too bad and I'll chalk it up to a learning experience! Used to get up to Philly alot when I was in and just out of high school. Delivering car parts to auto body shops. Off Broad St.
I used to buy a bunch of them huge soft pretzels from the guys on the street. Take them back to the dealership and sell them for double what I paid.

Blade: Voskhod
Brush: Stirling Kong Synthetic
Soap: LNHC Somali Rose (17)
AS: Clubman
Too tired to go for a straight shave tonight, so I grabbed the Red Tip and had a nice relaxing DE shave instead. I really need to create a spreadsheet or something so I can keep track of the date codes on my older razors...
The Somali Rose is on it's way out. The donut whole has begun!

Little baddy is back to pillow attacking self again tonight....hence the short entry!
In Other News...
Surprise visits from the boss are always better when he buys lunch! Off to Philly again for the next 2 days. I also have another branch manager here all week giving me some training I should have gotten back in October. Better late than never I guess. Lot's of things in the works as far as improvements in the day to day go, and I'm learning a lot. So no complaints there!

Being tired is a GREAT time to take a straight shave.

Just getting around to posting last night’s shave. Was having trouble with the site last night. I’m not sure if it was a site issue, or if Comcast heard me talking trash and decided to mess with me.
I started stropping in between passes with last night’s shave. I didn’t really notice a difference. I’m wondering if my angle is off and that’s what’s causing skipping/stopping issues on my ATG amd XTG passes, or my edge is bad. I’ll keep on keeping on though. Maybe I’ll see an improvement. I’ll be skipping tonight’s shave to give my skin a little break.

In Other News...
Looks like I’ll get another day in Philly tomorrow. Our guy from corporate that’s been in and out of town randomly showed up today. He asked if I had anything important going on at my main branch tomorrow, and when I said no his response was “good, come here tomorrow so we can go get some lunch and then you can cut out early. We’ll tell everyone we did an inventory.” Guess I’m making friends in the right places at corporate hahaha!
Since tomorrow will be an easy day, I’ll be enjoying a few beers and watching the Flyers game with my step son tonight.

The Somali Rose has been an excellent performer. Not sure I’d go after this scent again (it’s not bad at all, just not for me) but I’ll definitely be getting more soap from Lisa at some point.Love the LNHC products. They never disappoint.

Seems to be that way. He’s been with the company forever and has a lot of influence. Even if he didn’t he’s still a cool guy, so hanging with him for a day instead of doing the regular day to day will be fun!Friends in high places!

Last shave today with the LNHC Somali Rose. This stuff was really great! It seemed to really start to go fast after the donut hole started. I’m not sure why, but at any rate the tub has kicked it. It’ll be nice to get a little variety in for a little bit.
I just ordered some Williams but it won’t be here in time to join the Willy Challenge on Feb. 1st. I’ll still play along though. I’ve decided on Clubman Whiskey Woods and I’ll be calling it Bootleg Willy, unless that already has a name. I didn’t see it on the list.

Yesterday’s easy Friday spent with my buddy from corporate was a nice change of pace. Got some stuff done, ate some great BBQ from a place around the corner from the yard, and was told that some big things are coming over the course of this year. Apparently he’s made it very clear to those that will be making decisions about these things that I need to be involved. I guess I ‘ll wait and see.
