Razor: Occam‘s Razor v1.0 Kai Pro-Touch (1)
Soap: Clown Puke
Scuttle: CaptaIns Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Razorock 400 synthetic
AS/EdT: Proraso Green

Comments: Pulled the trigger on an Occam’s Razor due to an excellent sale price. Giving ‘er a go today.

The Hardware: The razor bears a strong resemblance to the Skeletonized version I tested earlier. I believe this one may have larger ‘wings’ behind the blade but they don’t bother me.

The Software: It still astounds me how well clown puke performs.

The Shave: Three passes with this razor yielded similar results to previous testing with the later iterations of this design. I prefer the non skeletonized handle. I continue to feel the little nubbins holding the blade in place seems kinda sketchy, but I can’t argue with the results.

For your amusement. 4 years ago almost to the day a trimming accident led to my shaving off my mustache.

I would be fine with that if it’s ok with the razors owner, who I am asking under separate cover.

Razor: Occam‘s Razor v1.0 Kai Pro-Touch (2)
Soap: Dragons Beard
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Oz Shaving Silver Snow
AS/EdT: Dragons Beard

Comments: Occam‘s Razor sea trials continue.

The Hardware: Through the lens this is a handsome razor. I want to like it and so far I do.

The Software: I mushed a snurdle of the original Dragons beard from the pass-around into the Captains Choice and it exploded into lather. A bit more so than the Lime. I like the fragrance. It appears the spouse unit however: groups it in with another epic frag of which she is not among the chosen.

The Shave: I’m getting more comfortable with the blade retention of this razor. it is sufficient to hold the blade which is stiff enough to hold its own and flex as designed. I don’t think I use enough pressure to take advantage of the flex, but if I did, there it is. I didn’t waste too much time getting to business and was done a little quicker than usual. Good shave, no leakage

Razor: Kai Captain Clone (scalloped sides)
Soap: Fine orange Noir
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop: Griffin
Brush: Sterling Fan Badger
AS/EdT: Fine Orange Noir

Comments: The Shavette was the first Razor I saw. Also trying out Rods Shower Soap Arcadia, a tribute to Terre de Hermès. I should smell like a dirty orange all over today! Continuing cleaning out stuff from the garage to make room for it’s new occupant which, I presume might be a smidge larger than the Miata was.

The Hardware: As clones go this is a pretty good one. Worthy of keeping in the rotation. Hard to go wrong with the Sterling Brush.

The Software: Spouse unit said she smelled me as soon as she entered the house. Yes my brothers, I was “that guy” today. But she also said it wasn’t unpleasant. Sounds like a cry for TABACAVEG

The Shave: this clone shaves as easily in my hand as my SS. Not having seen an original, I don’t know if the “lips” I see on the clone are also on the original. Three passes and I’m happy with the results.
