Rich's Journal: Adventures with Life and Sharp things

Spritzed some Terre d'Hermes on at the airport's duty free store yesterday. VERY nice stuff, but I'm not paying $121USD for ANY kind of cologne
Gotta day, some of that expensive stuff is so concentrated you can use less of it so it lasts longer.

Razor: Kia Clone / Schick Proline 30 (t)
Soap: Pannacrema Nuavia Blu
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop:
Brush: OZ Silver Snow Cashmere
AS/EdT: Thayers Medicated

Comments: Probably the last interesting shave before a long stretch of DE shaving. Using a clone with an unfamiliar blade sounds like a great adventure shave. Pannacrema is one of my favorite and first line protectors for this kind of shave.

The Hardware: This particular clone has been doing a heckuva job so far. The OZ brush is a great performer and is earning it’s way into the regular rotation. Today I experimented with floating the lathering bowl in the hot water to warm it up for a warm lather Schick ProLines seem like they are made for this kind of duty.

The Software: Pannacrema......

The Shave: I was pretty much at tune ‘em up smooth after the first WTG pass. Subsequent passes refined the shave and I am really starting to like the Kamisori blade style.

That is a nice looking razor. I tried the Feather DS kami at one point, but couldn't really get the hang of it.

You could always hit up a discounter and pay about half that. There are at least three that are very reputable.

Razor: Gillette Post War TechEinstein / Gillette Super Platinum (Black) (2)
Soap: Parsons Humble Mug Soap b1
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop:
Brush: Frank Shaving 19mm synthetic “Macy”
AS/EdT: Pinauld Citrus Musk

Comments: Shave 2 of One Blade February continues with one of our resident artisan beta soaps. Done at 7 o’clock as indicated by the label. I went to the doctor to have some paperwork and semi annual bloodwork done. She said the phrase ‘At a certain age‘ several times during our visit.

The Hardware: No Drama as Frankerazor applies the Super Platinum to the whiskers.

The Software: This is some GREAT soap! Lathers easily with synthetic and my water. Having very to no frag added allows me to grab a dusty bottle of Pinauld Citrus Musk.

The Shave: No problems, no drama. The mildness of the razor helped me to scrub my problem spots to arrive ay SFS Ville with no problems at all. This is gonna be a good run!

Comments: Shave 4 of One Blade February. A pretty calm shave. No drama. Coveting you’re prayers for a family friend for healing after having nearly all of her entrails removed, examined and put back in. That was Tuesday. She was walking this afternoon, and we are expecting her to come home tomorrow.they were unable to remove all the cancer. I don’t know her prognosis now, but it was quite grim prior to the surgery. She was at bell choir practice last week though.

The Hardware: No Drama as Frankerazor and Gillette steel partner for a great shave

The Software: I completely nailed the water on this lathering! Super happy with the characteristics. All of ’em.

The Shave: No problems, no drama. A 4 pass shave to BBS. No question about it.

same stuff as yesterday. Might as well recycle the pic.
