Razor: RazoRock GameChanger / GSB (3,4)
Soap: CBL test wafer #1
Scuttle: Captains Choice
Strop:
Brush: Stirling fan Badger
AS/EdT: Thayers Aloe Witch Hazel

Comments: I very rarely do daily shaves, but for science I am doing sets of back to back shaves to maintain consiste in my results. This was wafer 1 which had very distinct characteristics.

The Hardware: I really enjoyed my last mild razor shaves, so I did both of these shaves with the GameChanger and the .68 plate. I will use this platform for all three soaps. GSB’s have been treating me quite well lately and I am anxiously waiting on camel express to bring the next favorite. :)

The Software: The sample loads easily and produces a low even lather that can be a bit splashy. It seems quite tolerant to water added between passes to the face. It is pretty unusual for soap to rinse so cleanly between passes. It’s a little light on post-pass slickness. If I splash water on it for a little buffing, it rinses clean so there is no slick. Additional brushwork was required for both shaves.

The Shave: two BBS shaves in a row! It took some minor adjustments, but despite the “one and done” nature of the soap it Was quite adequate for a great shave. It rinses clean with no irritation and was adequate to protect me from the dreaded alum sting.

Great report, and spot on with what I experienced. You stated it remarkably better than I did!

Our remaining cat is very demanding when he wants attention, but NEVER likes being picked up, even by my wife, who is the center of his universe, when he is not hungry!

Comments: I used all the same stuff as yesterday, but had trouble face lathering. Fell back to the Captains Choice bowl to make my lather. it got wicked cold last night for the first time this winter. I’m very glad my car is in the garage, and I had my woobie down at the foot of the bed last night.

The Hardware: No change from Tuesday. I did use a smaller bowl that proved easier to mosh the wafer into to make loading easier. It’s really hard to go wrong with the GameChanger.

The Software: i loaded the brush what I thought was pretty heavy, but had Zero success face lathering. I dont do it often so could be me. Did great in the bowl. This sample produced perhaps a bit less dense lather, but it didn’t fling all over as Sample 1 did. It was plenty slick and had a little better post pass slickness that didn’t run away with just a splash of water. This made buffing and second stroking much easier. Post shave dry down with no witch hazel or lotion was good with no tightness of soap residue.

The Shave: I noticed a bit of discomfort on my jawline last night. Perhaps I made a few whiskers angry. asite from fiddling with the soap, the shave went quite well. I did my best to grow as much hair as possible and it all came off easy peasy. I didn’t chase the BBS because I’m going to shave again tomorrow.
