Rich's Journal: Adventures with Life and Sharp things

Holy Guacamole! It was a windy drive into Chicago today! The Miata ran fine, but was getting buffeted all over the place. Going through underpasses was really hazardous as you would veer one way, then the other when you get back into the wind. What an adventure!

Glad you made it ok. Have a great thanksgiving.

Rich...Rich...Rich...you sir are a glutton for punishment! Why would you shave with that razor EVER? 🤪

................and people who bought it, also bought............need I say more 🤪

I mean...if you buy an Assured Razor from the Dollar Tree...you HAVE to have your raspberry moisturizing shave gel!

First mistake...you went to Chicago...Second Mistake...well...there wasn't one...YET!😜

Morning, Rich! When you come out of your turkey-coma, can you tell me if the M-injector is a long handle machine (icky yucky) or a joyous short-handle one?

Thanks for the pic, Rich. I wasn't clear in my ask. Injector models come in one of 2 handle sizes, based on the model. No variance within each model. So , yes, your M's should all be the same size.

My I2 is the short 4" length and I've had a longer handle injector (like your M) and didn't like the handle feel. I was looking at an M2 (protector) but couldn't find the handle length; now I know that it's not for me.

The long handle on the adjustable is the thing keeping me from getting one too.

Comments: Doing battle with beaurocracy (sp?) this morning just trying to get my drivers license renewed. I had to collect all my papers to prove I am who I am. And they still weren’t entirely satisfied because one of the forms they wanted had my ssn Obscured. After getting all that settled, she noticed I was wearing hearing aids. Now I have to go to the examination station station to make sure they don’t impair my ability to drive. Next I betcha they will want a dna sample, retinal scan and proof that any surgeries I’ve had doesnt impair me. I’m a little annoyed.

The Hardware: This clone is a pretty darned good razor! I’m using the wider Pro Supers that scotch out the blade a bit for more aggression. Didn’t matter. The shave went as well or better than expected. No problems other than some modified grips due to the fixed handle.

The Software: Pannacrema.. nuff said.

The Shave: I found myself respecting the Pro Supers a little more than I needed to. After the first pass it was just as natural as any other blade. I do enjoy warm lather! I think it will be nice if winter turns very cold 🥶. Three passes and a cleanup on the neck for a brilliant BBS. No complaints here!
