Countdown to Cruise: 15 days. SWMBO took me walking and my foot started hurting mid walk. After some stretching, I'm ok, but still kind of sore. I have a followup with the Doc before we leave and will continue with the stretches.
I don't know how to act when I get not only razors, but brushes in the post. I had ordered this razor out of curiosity after seeing the specimen from @Jaro1069. After a snafu in shipping, I ended up with another Kamisori clone. A quick note by email and two days later I have this folder and got to keep the Kami to boot! This guy seems pretty legit. I am a subscriber to 'Friendship Shaving' on Facebook and this is a brush they commissioned through Frank Shaving. It is a pretty nice razor and not very expensive.

The Hardware: I found that the blade door on all three of my Kai style razors are interchangeable. They must all be from the same manufacturer. The fit and finish is quite good and the Silver razor looks pretty nice next to the gold one to my eye. I would not be surprised if the same blank from the folder is merely inserted into the rubber handle to make the Kamisori model. The length when compared is a pretty good clue to that. The metal (zinc) casting of the razor is nearly identical in length to my Feather SS although it feels substantially heavier.
The Frank shaving Brush is an able latherer as I have come to expect from most to all modern synthetic brushes. Super soft and springy, it coaxed an excellent lather from the WSP soap.

The Software: Wet Shaving Products Gaelic Tweed is a great easy to use and provided a good predictable lather for this test.

The Shave: Looking at my last shave I had a bit of trouble with pressure and weepers. I wasn't sure where to look for the problem. Now I'm more concerned. I will use the General to isolate the blade and see if I'm just having problems with really really sharp blades. Aside from the weepers I got an excellent shave. Clearly on BBS level, but downgraded to DFS+ due to fluid loss.

Nice Rich! The red scale clone looks pretty nice. Sorry you’re still having foot trouble; I hope it gets figured out in the next 15 days!

Countdown to Cruise: 13 days! Isolating a problem. Last shave was a touch harsh, but I’d not used a feather Pro-guard for a while so isolate the blade in the General. Following the citrus theme

The Hardware: All of today’s components are known elements two variables are my stroke and the blade

The Software: It’s been said Fine products are made by the same people that make Tabac. I believe..

The Shave: It appears the harshness I felt in the last Shave was the Blade, with perhaps a bit of zeal on my part. Finished the shave in 3 good passes. Still got an alum tingle, but now I know it’s mostly the blade calming down. I’ll have several shaves on it before taking it to sea. So I’ll be good to go.

Excellent shave yesterday Rich! I really hope the foot gets better for the trip. For me, stretching really was the only thing that helped long term. And it didn't require a lot of it. Calf stretches for a couple minutes three times a day did the trick. But it definitely didn't happen overnight. I'll say a prayer or two for you.

Countdown to Cruise: 10 Days! Wardrobe... check! Passport... check! Boarding passes and tags... check! Shave gear selected... fuggedaboudit! Smoothing down the eager Feather blade and musings ala Nurse Dave about a portable Shave Den. Considering about the mystery pass around so as not to rush Brother TJ, we should bump me down the roster, and get a stand-in flat spider to go on the trip.

The Hardware: On it’s third outing the Feather is smoothing out nicely. I’m thinking the Batman May be going on a cruise.

The Software: Pannacrema is a beyond wonderful product providing a teflonesque environment to calm down an overly eager Feather blade. Aside from good ol’ Old Spice my nose has trouble picking up pairings for the wonderful fragrance of this soap. I don’t think they make a matching aftershave.

The Shave: Three passes and the SS brings the old mug to porcelain like smoothness. I don’t think I would chance shaving with this razor while the ship is underway, or in a storm. But I feel very confident with this razor. It makes the cut. Probably going with this one and a tech or slim with the Sterling synth. For the Cruise. Ketoing down the last couple pounds so I can gain it back.

Guessing there aren’t the same major restrictions on shave gear on the cruises like there are in the airlines?

It sounds like most anything I would need to bring are a-ok. It’s just a matter of 4 adults in one car with all our stuff!

Countdown to Cruise: 8 Days! Kind of rushed this morning so no vid. Mama is off work today and trying on essentially everything in the closet. I’ve got 4 pairs of short pants and 3 pairs of Khakis. And a mess of Hawaiian shirts. One white shirt and tie. Drawers when they come out the washer and I’m done. I fit in a small duffle. I received an SS clone in the post yesterday, and it had a touch of an overbite where one lip was longer than the other causing uneven blade exposure. A little tuning on the diamond plate and we’re in good shape. The removable piece fits on the real deal SS but not necessarily vice versa. The pins aren’t the same size. More on that in a bit. After this, I’m turning my attention away from clone razors and waiting for a Vectah’ to show up. With as much love they are getting probably something to it.

The Hardware: On it’s Fourth use I’m thinking the Featherband the General May make the cut for this trip. This 22mm Frank Shaving Brush is pretty darned nice. They are a Chinese make, but good quality in this specimen.

The Software: It is astounding how a mixture of many soaps can make such a great lather, but I’ll take it and not worry. The frag is definitely peculiar, but nothing good ol’ Aqua Velva can’t overcome

The Shave: The Blade exposure is a bit uneven on this clone roe to heel, but I’ll take care of that toot sweet. Only one weeper and it’s a typical AC shave. The wooden scales are a touch thick, and I had to administer a few little tappity tap taps tith the peeling hammer to tighten things up. Still quite a serviceable razor. Three passes to a solid DFS.

Countdown to Cruise: 2 Days. Definitely starting to get the Vacation Vibe here. First Cruise in 19 years! First serious Mommy/Daddy vacation in quite a while. Just a couple of last minute things to back, (like the CPAP) and we will be rolling to the great city of Baltimore tomorrow.

The Hardware: First use of this clone and it is exactly like the other clone that is branded Univanlions. I assume they are probably made by the same people. Blade exposure is a touch mild, but that’s kind of a good thing.

The Software:What can I say? Noble Otter... fine stuff!

The Shave: Three passes to clean up the little growth from a late shave Sunday and I’m back at DFS+

*Notice* Official weight at noon today is 216.2 pounds. (Up 10 from when I cracked the door and let a little Carb in my diet.) We’ll be back under 200 I hope soon. I’ll pick up something interesting along the way on this trip and will offer it us as a prize to the closest guess for Cruise Weight Gain. I am a food tourist, but also know I still have to fit into my trousers by the end of this 9 day cruise. I should be back home a week from Sunday, unless we’re too pooped to drive home. Let’s cut off guesses Sunday at Noon Eastern Time. That’s when we make port. I will weigh in on the same scales at noon the first day we are home. I’ll start a thread to contain this exercise in gluttony.
