Missed a bunch of days! Work and life had me busy, busy, busy! Also, I’ve been trying to get Aidan a State ID (because he can’t drive) because eventually he‘ll need it - I tell you - the hoops you have to jump through! But I think we’re all set.

Just felt like doing old score gentlemen scents today. Really like the new Stirling brush! The Wholly Kaw is In their vegan base which is really nice!

Aidan hit a milestone today, I’ve been transitioning him from me shaving him to me doing hand over hand, to him now doing the with the grain for what he feels comfortable. Today he did his mustache area and his cheeks all by himself! Here are a few snaps going back a year or so from having him work on his lathering to now. Proud of him!

Rule #1 - never take a call when Aidan is working up his lather 😂

‘Standing in the tub just because it was too messy by the sink ! Proved that we can make a mess anywhere

First time doing under his nose by himself!

Today - rockin‘ his technique!

New week! I have to admit this soap & AS grew on me and I’m glad I didn’t give up on it. When I bought it - it was the heyday of summer - and although I don‘t believe in seasons for fragrances- wear what you want when you want it - the resin notes made it feel heavy almost cloying in 90+ degree F weather with heavy humidity. Plus - as most know I love me my citrus, but earthy and oud like notes are usually not my bag baby!

But now that the weather is cooler - that nice crisp fall weather - this to me is almost to banger level. It pairs so well with the CD Eau Sauvage Parfum. The cologne takes the bright citrus of the EdT and adds some major depth. I really dig old school colognes (or tributes to them as this version came out in 2020 but pays great homage to its 1960’s sibling. It‘s wild looking back - 20 year old me would not have appreciated this (although I was a Drakkar champ 😂) and 51 year old me loves this!

Today - I take in a new role at work - leading some senior architects, security, and documentation specialists on a project that is getting behind. The VP called me on Friday night and said he needed a grownup in the room (to wit I thought - are you sure you’re coming to the right person 😆) - then he said - what I really need is someone not afraid to be the bad guy (ok, now it makes sense)-because the schedule can’t slip. The good news is that I don‘t know anyone on the team - so I don’t have any allegiances to any group - which it will make it easier to make decisions because I know whatever decisions I make - two of three groups will hate me 😂.

Have a great week everyone!
