Movie night! The kids love those
It was great. They wanted to watch the Disney Nature movie about finding the snow leopards.

Sounds like it was a great night with the family, and of course a great shave!
It really was. Thanks

Fantastic stuff here, Don! Glad I could catch up.
Thanks. Nice to have you around.

I saw the pics you were tagged in with the kids. Sounds like the perfect evening for sure!
It ended up better than I had planned it to turn out. Although, they did go on their hike without me. I guess I can forgive them this time.

I like the performance and scent of this soap, but, I have problems loading enough. Normally, I would just go to my boar to really dig into the soap to be able to get more. You can't do that with this soap though because the soap has an ingredient that will stain the bristles. So, today, I soaked the top of the soap. I went to load it and I got a little more, but I wish I would have had a little more on there. Oh well, it was enough for the 3 pass shave.

The shave itself I am going to equate to going shopping with a toddler. Picked up the DE and was excited to go. The first pass went great, didn't cut a lot, but after how close the shave was yesterday, there was not much to cut. Second pass, also great, was going smoothly, was starting to wonder how many more shaves this blade has on it. Third pass... well, that was another story. This is where the toddler(Nacet) gets tired, and decides it is tired of enjoying the trip. It started kicking and screaming and I couldn't wait to be done at that store (pass). I could have just grabbed the toddler and abandoned my cart full of goodies (the shave), but like a fool, I tried to power through the tantrum. When I was done, I ended up missing a few things I was wanting to get (ended with a DFS) and was irritated (even after the LT, can still feel it on my mustache area). As soon as we left the store, I put him to bed (binned it) and all is now in the past. I also put the DE away for a while. I have relatively new blades in my injector and GEM with plenty of shaves left on them and very limited space in the den. The results of the shave wouldn't be bad at all if it wasn't for the irritation. But it is the lack luster shaves that makes you really appreciate the good ones.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow...great read, though it sounds like the shave was quite the trip! Great analogy with the toddler shopping trip!

Have you tried just scooping some out and smearing it on the side of a bowl to lather that one?

My pleasure.

That is such an obvious and easy fix, I would be ashamed to admit I didn't think of that. So I will not say anything at all.

Just a quick recap of today.

Today, I got lathered up, stropped the Waterville, put it up to my face, and the LOTH opens the door and says she needs me to be done. So, I put the straight away and do a pretty quick 3 pass with the injector. Left myself with a great BBS.

A la Mancha, went up to Kentucky today to pick up the father-in-law from the brother-in-law's house. It went pretty smoothly and everyone is settled in.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Nice shave today albeit with the forced audible. SWMBO blitzes me like that when I'm home as well....

Nice shave. Hopefully tomorrow you can put the Waterville to work.
I plan to today, but with 3 adults, 2 kids and one bathroom, I am not sure how much I will be able to use it this week.

Thanks. That is one of the main reasons I usually like waking up earlier than everyone else. No one to rush me out.
