How much do you love straight razor shaving? I’ve got a video for you. My latest is nearly 2 hours long and I do a lot of talking. I was asked by a viewer to give a review of technique with explanation. I did the best I know to do and this is the result. I hope you enjoy. Bathroom breaks are allowed.

While rules can be broken, there may be a price to pay. Last night’s shave was good for what it was intended to illustrate, but lasted for about 18-24 hours. I stopped tonight in York, Nebraska at the Petros and knew I didn’t want to wait till tomorrow night to shave. Having shaved so mant times here in the men’s public restroom, I have a nostalgic sentiment for this place, not to mention they have spacious accommodations. Did I mention I went to college here? York College, class 1981. Lots of long ago memories here. Anyway…

Razor: Thiers Issard “Eagle” 5/8; Edge: Coticule; Brush: Stirling 26mm Premium Silvertip Badge; Soap: C.O. Bigelow Eucalyptus in green tube. Result: just perfect; no knicks, cuts, blood.
