Howdy. I'm bentheduck and I'm new around these parts for like that 180000th time this year. Before I get into catching you guys up, I want to thank
@MilkCrate for his unwavering Texan friendliness and
@dangerousdon for his...gator...ness???? Tim won Don's PIF and forwarded it straight to me without me knowing. Actually I kinda knew, but only because I got a shipping notification from the UPS store 10 minutes from Don's house - didn't know what it was until I asked and got on here to look. Thank you both. Moving on. Work is work. I'm past the year mark as a paramedic, so that's cool. It's a hump I was ready to get over, but it's a really insignificant milestone in the grand scheme of things.
The hombre is next up for killing. I like the scent, but I don't love it. It's really forward on leather and that isn't really my thing for whatever reason. This blade is still going strong for me after a handful of uses. I had planned on using a new gel tipped boar brush, but I forgot to soak it so a grabbed a synthetic. Great lather, great shave. The 6S is an underrated and underused razor in my stable, but it's been getting a lot of use lately.
I bonded with my partner on Sunday over music and it started when I watched a video about how Bleed American came to be.
Venessa and I are in the beginning stages of buying a house. I've learned a lot and I think it's going to be an interesting experience, not necessarily fun, but interesting. Venessa has already had an eye opening moment when I showed her that the Zillow estimates are way off. The cats are well and adorable. No kids on the way yet. I think that's it for today. I hope you're all well. Thanks for reading, Cadre.
