Let's All 3017... 2020 CBL Tonsorial Edition!

Hmm, now I'm conflicted. I used to think we should come up with our own term instead of 3017 but those are some pretty good arguments to keep it.
The ironic thing with the 3017 thing is that it's all most shavers ever do anyway, they just call it shaving. It's only us weirdos that need a special name for using a soap.
I wonder how many cans of Edge gel I unknowingly 3017ed over the 17 years that I used it.

I am really enjoying the CBL Tonsorial. I think @CBLindsay really has a winner on his hands.

Are you guys blooming your pucks? I have started doing that and it feels like I am getting a better load that way. Just curious.

I bloomed the first day, but haven’t since.

Did a shower shave this morning with the Insurgent for shave 3. It did really well and I actually got a ridiculously good shave considering it was purely by feel.

Also I bloomed the puck for shaves 1 and 2 and it loaded much easier than today.

Yes, I’m blooming most of the time (unless I forget). When Chris sent out samples to test, his instructions for how to lather said to bloom them.

This is the soap I'm actually trying to finish off. The CBL I'm just using a lot of this month, but have no expectation or care about finishing it off. I've always disliked the 3017 term, and suck at remembering numbers, so I'm just going to use real words.

@NurseDave -you should know me well enough by now to know that solesoaping was meant in a humorous vein.

I know right. Is it retaining water? I don't know. Is it a magically regenerating soap? I don't know. I'm not big on 3017 as anyone here knows but unlike @Spider if I'm doing one, I'm going to use the soap like I normally do otherwise what's the point. I mean I could sit there and rinse soap down the drain if I want to just get rid of it. And it wouldn't be a true representation of how long a tub/puck would last either so again I don't see the point other than just to be a part of it with others and that's all good. But science requires consistency so here I go. I did rinse out all the lather in it and clean it as KJ no doubt does and weighed it at 1 gram less.

So there, after rinsing some down the drain it dropped a gram and no doubt a shy more after it dries some. I have nothing against blooming a soap but haven't done any blooming for any wondering that. Onward and upward 3017r's

I have not bloomed my puck...I might try. But honestly, the continuous use of the puck is adding moisture to it and I am getting some pretty good shaves!

I wonder if the puck I have from Chris is a little different, since he packed it in the bowl. It's been really easy to lather, much more so than I was expecting.
