Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your week is off to a nice start.

Weekend here was fairly uneventful, the weather downright gorgeous on Sunday and sunny but a bit cooler than normal on Saturday. As expected, lots of walks around the neighborhood. Really looking forward to hitting that critical 2 month threshold next week so we can start acting normal again!

Fairly busy start to the week at work but thankfully only going to the office tomorrow. A new board game we placed on hold at the library a little while ago, Viticulture, is ready for pick up so planning on learning it some time this week so the wife and I can play it this weekend.

Switched up my razor as I had abandoned any type of rotation and been using the same Bakelite Tech for months. There's something effortless about the Flare Tip SS that I really enjoy. It's mild and takes no thought to deliver a DFS every time.

Man have I not been able to get back into my TSC groove recently. It's been a little chaotic around here with my daughter just hitting the 2 month mark a couple days back and my son having issues napping due to what we think are nightmares (kinda hard to tell since a 2.5 year old still can't communicate everything!) On top of that, I had some extremely eye-opening conversations with leaders at my company last week around career development and glideslope, and not eye-opening in a good way. Just going to leave it at that. At the end of the day, I work to live not live to work, and everyone is healthy so counting my blessings and keeping on keeping on.

Hoping to get more regular around here again, as this kinda feels like a safe space and I miss everyone's updates. Finished off my tub of SW Autumn Ash with this morning's shave, so looking forward to Macduffs Coast to Coast up next.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! You couldn't have drawn up better weather here in Chicagoland, mid-70s and sunny. Went to a local pumpkin patch/farm on Friday afternoon, spent a lot of time outside Saturday and brunch at my in-laws yesterday. All in, a nice weekend! Leaving to grab lunch with an old colleague in a few minutes here, one of a few networking lunches I've got on the docket this week, since as the time-tested adage goes, "it's not about what you know, but who."

Still catching up on everyone's journals but happy to be *hopefully* settling back into a little TSC groove again. Been using my Macduff Coast-to-coast and man is it a wonderful shave soap for autumn! I can smell the ginger and maple for at least an hour after finishing shaving if I don't chase with a splash or EdT! Shame that it was a limited release.

This appears to be the last breath of the Indian Summer as temps are cooling off today (accompanied by some much needed rain) and look to be projected to stay closer to normal going forward. Ah well, it is almost Halloween after all!

Lunch with my old colleague yesterday was wonderful - always great to reconnect with my former audit family as we spent months at a time living and working together overseas. Not holding my breath that a new role will materialize out of it, but time definitely well spent regardless!

Bit rainy and dreary today, chased my shave with A&F First Instinct Together to try and brighten up the mood. Definitely youthful but I enjoy it.

Chicago’s Tuesday weather is my Wednesday weather.
 
Been a busy few days both on the home and work fronts, but Happy Friday friends! Looking forward to a nice weekend around here, both weather and personal life. Tomorrow my in-laws are coming over to watch the kids and my wife and I are going to have a date night for the first time since our daughter was born, so we're VERY excited for that. Sunday should be relaxing, hopefully get some stuff done around the outside of the house.

Just in case you need a few ideas on what to do, I can send you a list of sports bars in the greater Illinois area that will be showing the World Series on large screen tvs. In case you haven’t heard, there is the young, upstart, scrappy team from the same town in which Rocky Balboa lived, that has a team in said series.
