Sounds like a fantastic weekend!
Threw together a "super lather" of MWF and TOBS Mr. Taylor and chased with more of my sample of Burberry Hero. Still nothing particularly special about this EdT but it is a nice woody scent and seems to fit both the current frigid weather and holiday season well.
Definitely a newer one. I definitely wouldn't pay retail, and it's not at discounters yet, but if I saw it around $35 for 100mL I'd think about it!Thanks for your thoughts on Burberry Hero…hadn’t really seen any reviews yet, though I know it’s still relatively new.
Our son is at the age where he can process what is right and wrong, and tests it multiple times an hour, but not quite at the age where a punishment really means anything. Exhausting to say the least, so 24 hours with grandma and grandpa was exactly what both mom and dad needed to recharge!Happy Birthday to your dad and what a fantastic weekend recap! So glad you got a recharge day! And does that guy realize he has a large beer can on his head?
Wow! Fantastic update Ryan! Glad it’s been a good, albeit busy week! This past week was one of the busiest I've had at work in a long time. So much so that I had to abandon my morning ritual of coffee and TSC before jumping into work stuff. No bother, it's a nice and quiet Sunday morning so no time like the present to get caught up on both mine and everyone else's journals!
Friday was a company-wide holiday "to thank everyone for their hard work this year." Always nice to have a random Friday off, especially during the holiday season! Weather was gorgeous in the morning, so we drove downtown and took my son to the Christkindl Market at Daley Plaza. My wife and I have gone every year since being together, and I have a nice little display of each year's mulled wine mugs we've gotten displayed each Christmas in our house. It was crowded per usual but nice to have the tradition again after having it cancelled last year.
Yesterday we were supposed to go down to Champaign to watch the Illini - Arizona basketball game, an annual tradition we have with my wife's friend and her husband. But her husband got a concussion on a piece of farm equipment, so rather than be the 3rd wheel, I told her to just drive down and have a ladies brunch instead. My parents were already going to watch our son, so I had just about all of Saturday completely to myself for the first time in probably years. My wife was supposed to be back around dinner but of course they got caught up talking and she didn't get home until almost 9pm. I got some errands done, watched some basketball, had some brews, ordered a pizza for dinner, pretty much the most stereotypical "bachelor" day I could have drawn up. And it was lovely. Today we're headed over to my parents around lunch to grab the little guy and celebrate my dad's birthday as it's tomorrow. Think we have some small things around the house we want to get done this afternoon but overall should be a pretty relaxing day. Thanks for stopping by!

Really know how to grind my gears with the Cubs comments, Brian!!Good vibes for the little guy! Mat the future Cubs fan get better quickly!!
100% agreed Bruce. It's heartbreaking. Unfortunately both my wife and I have sore throats this morning so looks like we got the germs - ugh!I hope your son feels better soon, Ryan. I was always frustrated when one of our sons would be ill. I wanted to take their germs myself, because it didn't seem fair it should happen to them.
Thanks Chris! The team is definitely appreciative, which helps a lot. Everyone from the VP of sales finance down has made comments acknowledging the dual-hatting and expressing gratitude which makes it a little easier!Wishes for a speedy recovery for Ryan Jr! I’ll bet your previous team is appreciative of your back-filling! Hopefully it’s not too much longer.
Sounds like a bonus is in order, Don!Everyone from the VP of sales finance down has made comments acknowledging the dual-hatting and expressing gratitude which makes it a little easier!
Exactly how I do it - when it annoys me, it's gone.I decided I was tired of reforming the remaining soap so officially called it on this puck.
