Glad the remodel is so far so good! I wish my shower head were higher in this current rental…it’s at about 5’4”…I mean good grief…I gotta break my neck just to wet my hair 🤨
Ours was previously at 6'3" but obviously angled down so I still had to contort a little bit to get my head under. Now at 6'8" it should be perfect.

5'4" is ridiculously low! I don't think I've ever seen that low a shower head here in the US!

Hump Day, but it's actually only one more day until the weekend for me as for the third week in a row, I'm taking Friday off! One of my best buddies had a small wedding last August that I stood up in down in St. Louis, and this Friday they're having their "planned" reception that had to get pushed due to Covid. Little guy is staying with my in-laws while my wife and I have a nice little weekend away down there. Wedding reception on Friday night, brunch on Saturday then a Cardinals game Saturday night. Should be a great weekend!

Enjoy that weekend! Sounds like fun!
Thanks Brian, St. Louis gets dumped on but I've always enjoyed visiting and Busch Stadium is absolutely gorgeous.

Weekend getaway! Woohoo! Enjoy Ryan!
A far cry from Hawaii but a getaway for mom and dad nonetheless! We're excited!

This is similar to my experience as well. My soaps are somewhere near a dozen, which is too many for me. I like to keep about half as many.
I have found I do enjoy seasonal scents, with my sweet spot appearing to be around 10. But that would still mean I have to kill off 10 of my existing ones...not an impossible task but not necessarily an easy one either!

No shave today but wanted to evaluate some of the last Tommy Bahama EdC samples I had.

Martinique - a nice acquatic floral one, definitely my favorite of the "Set Sail" series above St. Barts and Kitts
For Him - big melon open but dried down pretty bitter on my skin, not a fan
Compass - kind of a weird spicy floral combo, not a fan
Island Life - my favorite of the entire line, fruity open with some nice woody base notes, this captures island life perfectly in my opinion.

After trying all 10 of the current offerings, I'm glad I sprung for the sample pack on eBay. Most of these I wasn't a huge fan of and glad I didn't waste even $20 on full bottles in the future. Would strongly consider replacing my Nautica Blue Sail full bottle with Island Life once it's gone as a bright summery fresh scent.

You’re becoming a frag head! Welcome to the club!

Great you got to do some frag sampling! Always nice to find a surprising new favorite!

Wow, those are good choices. (y)
And even though I have much disdain for the NY Yankees - I have been to both the old and the new stadiums. The old when I was an ROTC cadet - coming home from training - we stopped by Cooperstown and then went to a Yankees game on our way home to Philly, then because I have failed as a father and my youngest son has chosen to root for the Evil Empire - twice to the new Yankees stadium (once against the Red Sox so that was actually a treat)!

Who won? I was at the "old" Yankee Stadium in the late '70s Winfield era, but it was against the Blue Jays. We sat behind homeplate and that big ugly logo. 🤮
The Red Sox ended up winning in extra inning So it was exciting! I was just looking at the pics - Jack had a short mohawk dyed blue (looks like a little kid Spider lol) … the second time he got a ball from one of the pitchers in the bullpen (in that one he looked like Charlie Sheen in Major League 😂

Love it! Let me know when you want to go to PNC - I'll go with you. If you're planning on spending time in town, I can show you the sites. :)

It's on my bucket list - along with Wrigley, PNC Bank, and Fenway!

You’re becoming a frag head! Welcome to the club!

Despite being a lifetime die-hard Sox fan, I've been to many a game at Wrigley. It has definitely improved since I started going in the 90's (though I do miss peeing in the troughs they used to have in the bathrooms) and I know the "old school" aspects are what make it beloved by many. Haven't had a chance to go to PNC yet but did sit atop the Green Giant for a White Sox - Red Sox game years ago as a kid. Don't think I fully appreciated both where we were sitting nor Fenway as a whole so need to revisit now as an adult!

Bound and determined to maintain self-control over frag acquisitions and despite my wife purchasing Nautica Blue Sail for me a few weeks ago, she has made it clear she expects no more bottles to appear on the shelf! Happy wife, happy life so I'm not going to tempt fate for now - but samples sure are fun!

I already like St Kitts and St Barts, for different reasons, and now you're telling me I need more. [sigh] ok then 😋

Ha! At least they are nice and cheap! There hasn't been a visit to Nordstrom Rack yet where there wasn't at least 3 offerings from Tommy Bahama lined up on the rack.

Great you got to do some frag sampling! Always nice to find a surprising new favorite!

Don't think I'd trust many of the decants offered on eBay compared to more "reputable" websites, but at least for Tommy Bahama I felt fairly safe since I don't know who would take the time to dupe what already are ridiculously cheap scents. The few I got from MicroPerfumes were great too - still have to try out my vials Terre d'Hermes and Guerlain Vetiver but initial impressions of both were great!

Hard to believe it's already Monday, Cadre. But it was a fantastic weekend away! Unfortunately, the guy working on our master shower didn't finish as soon as we had thought and as a result, worked Friday Saturday and yesterday to wrap up the tiling, grout and dry wall repairs. Thankfully my in-laws were already scheduled to watch our son while we were away so they had to spend a lot of time at our house. Not their first choice but they still got almost 3 days of time with him so I don't feel too bad!

Friday we drove down to St. Louis and in the evening had the reception that was originally intended for last August. It was a gorgeous venue and it was great to get to celebrate with the larger group. I will say, there was something special about their 30 person celebration last year that will always be a fond memory in a year where there wasn't much for many of us to hold onto. Saturday morning we had a "rehearsal brunch" that was the originally intended rehearsal dinner venue and went to the Cardinals - Pirates game on Saturday night. It was the most empty I've ever seen Busch, especially for a Saturday Night game. It's amazing how spoiled the St. Louis fans are, as multiple fans in the bridal party were ready to "burn it down" and start over with the squad. I know it's just my perspective as a White Sox fan (since I haven't seen my team play October baseball since 2008) but one less-than-post season-bound year does not mean burn it down. But I digress. Busch continues to be a great place to catch a baseball game and the Baseball Village they built next door is pretty neat. Yesterday we drove home fairly early to make sure we were here for our contractor to wrap up work on the shower. Have to wait 14 days for everything to fully cure but the end result is gorgeous and well worth it.

Somehow managed to forget ANY type of shaving software on our long weekend trip so I hadn't shaved since Friday. Found some partially used tucks of random blades while cleaning out the master bath so threw in a new Personna Red for this morning's shave and the pairing of the new Red with the 37c slant and 3 days of growth was divine. Absolutely effortless BBS and was like a knife through butter.

Excellent choices for both your shave ! I especially like the Seaforth Spiced Lime! So glad to hear the weekend was great for you - I think I would love to see Busch Stadium with the view of the Arch.
