Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Still trying to decide on how fancy I want the top to be. Just curved or some type of scroll pattern.
Choices, choices. For my part, I favor simplicity and function when storing my limited gear. Looking forward to to seeing the finished product. :)

@Graybeard57
I hear you on the simplicity.

Another cloudy and rain shower day here in Maryland.
Spent some time in my basement. Disassembling a Nordic Trac Elipticle.
Bastards used multiple types of fasteners. And it was being a pain. Got fed up with that crap. Broke out the saws all and cut that pos up. Like a hitman does to dispose of a body.
My animosity may seem a bit over the top.
But the fact that when I hauled that sum bitch down there. I knew that she was never going to use it much. So the hauling it back out plucked a nerve.
Today’s shave was a bright spot. And I also made some home made Chocolate Chip cookies. Use the old Betty Crocker recipe. Just like when I was a kid.1581642326204.jpeg8E41845B-2D05-41DE-9851-98EC828AAC07.jpeg

Fluffy Pro Tip. Expertise in the consumption of Chocolate Chip Cookies. Results in the need for a Nordic Trac Machine in your basement.

Today was a very good day. Had a friend stop over. And we caught up.
Tomorrow may not be as fun. We’ll see weather or not the wife’s car battery tests good. I topped off the acid and put it on the trickle charger today.
Tonight here in Maryland the temps will be back to what February temps usually are.
19• for a low.
Tonight I introduce you all to my “Johnny Fontaine” razor. It hails from Italy. So it has Guinea charm and shaves as smooth as olive oil.

Say hello to my little friend.

@Dave in KY
Yea it is a great blade. If it wasn't stamped Italia. The size grind and quality is every bit as good as any Solingen blade I have.
Don't think I have ever seen another Italian straight on the bay or elsewhere.
And apparently Campobasso is Italy's version of Solingen. If anyone has any other razors from there. Please post em up.

I agree The Godfather is movie perfection.
@SteveChuckFrank

Well folks today was fairly good. Got to sleep in. That’s always a luxury.
Breakfast always seems to taste better at about 0900.
The wife’s car was cranking slow I noticed last week. Before needing to be jumped to take her to the airport. Upon inspection the acid level was low in two cells. So I topped it off and threw the battery tender on it. 24 hrs later. (This AM) Put it back in and still cranking slow. 🤬
So off to my old side job at Advance Auto.
Sure enough it was almost at half of what the rated CCA’s should have been. No worries cause Fluffy gets one hell of a discount. Threw a new battery in and also got caught with all the guys. And off I went.
Left over Sketti for lunch.
Tonight’s shave was very nice

Now observe closely. Notice how this blade is clearly marked “H. Diamond Real Japanese Hollow Ground”.
If any of you have a made in Japan razor not certified as “Real” and appropriately marked. Then sorry to say you got a counterfeit.
On top of that they can be very bad shavers.
Send them to me and I’ll dispose of them safely.
Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Fluffy
