Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Looks like 3 votes for old razor. Guess since most of us are old as well. We go for things that have been around a while.

Razor: Wade and Butcher The Celebrated Hollow Ground.
Soap: Beehive Alpine Stream

Soap from the pass around was nice.
They are on my radar.
This old girl needs to be touched up. Not like Bill Clinton would do.
But she does need some rubbing on a Arkansas Stone.
Hope you guys all have some bold stuff to do this weekend.

Fluffy.

Happy Sunday Cadre
Most everything went well today.
The one interesting thing that I encountered today. Was at one of my local Wawa's. While entering the store. I heard a prolonged vehicle horn application.
Not your usual beep beep road runner kind. One that is usually followed by a few choices words and single finger salute.
I kept walking into the store and ordered a Latte for my wife. Not more than 2-3 minutes later. A "gentleman" came in and began to rant and spout profanities at the dude standing next to me.
So now I'm almost drawn into this retards childish road rage incident.
I'm no billy badass. But this kind of crap gets my blood pressure up. As he starts to come over to confront the other guy. I turn to face him and give him the patented Fluffy Stink Eye.
That and my Army Pt uniform shirt. 2nd Infantry Div. hat. Gave him a bit of pause.
Now he stops yelling and looks me up and down. He ask's me "Are you with him?" I said "I'm not oriented that way. My wife is in the car. I think it's best you drop whatever your pissed off about before it escalates out of your control." I call that a semi bluff. Eye contact and attitude go a long way to avoiding a fight. He turned and left. It wasn't my business but there were women and kids in the store.
Young employees that were freaked out. It's a situation that unfortunately I have dealt with countless times in the military and doing my security job.
No hero here just a dumb truck driver that wants to get his wife a drink and go home.

@Dave in KY hope things are improving weather/water wise in your neck of the woods.
In honor of your one vote. Tonights shave will be with my Koraat 14 2.0 It's probably the only razor I own that the man who made it. Is still above ground.
Pics to follow.

@Dave in KY
That's the thing. I don't think of myself as tough. I do not seek out confrontation. What I will not do is back down from it either. Probably the Irish/Hungarian genes.
That has been good and bad over the years.
I guess I would describe myself as salty, seasoned or hardened.

Thanks Monkey.
I've worked years to perfect my version of the "Stink Eye".
The nexus of it starts with your parents version. Then other people contribute to your understanding of what that look can be a harbinger of. Military service and Infantry Drill Instructors were my biggest influence. I can only hope to achieve a fraction of their effectiveness.
The look that made your blood run cold. And you feel as if all hope just left the world like a turd getting flushed down the toilet. Something bad is heading your way. And you best not be in it's path.
When I went back to Fort Benning last summer for my son in laws graduation. Even 32 years later. The sight of those men with Campaign hats on. Still commanded my respect and attention. Even if most of them weren't even born when a wide eyed 17 year old Fluffy was there.
