Down in the Heart of Texas!

Then I was going to do a straight shave with the Filli, but little man got REALLY upset and was only happy if I held him facing outwards. So a DE got the nod and I did my first one handed shave! Welcome to fatherhood is all I could hear my grandad and dad saying.
Welcome to fatherhood, indeed, Pat. Before you know it, he'll be "shaving" with you. My sons both liked to get shaving cream on their faces and shave it off with their toy razors. :)

I went with my SV soap for my shave today for a few reasons. 1. It fits the soap theme this month.
2. I am excited for the brush that we are getting soon!
3. I really do enjoy the performance and post shave feel of these soaps.
4. I am anxiously awaiting SV Desert Vetiver from @Dave in KY!
I told myself I was going to only replace soaps from here on out, but at the price Dave was offering the soap I could not pass it up. But to replace a soap I am going to PIF some software to my brother who is just starting out in this hobby.
The shave went splendidly, and I am not sure what I did differently this time but wow. The sickness was better than I remembered, the cushion was a little better this time around, and the post shave feel was fantastic. I am really excited to try out the 4.3 beta version now.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope yall had a great day!

Great shave today with the Ralf Aust. I may not get to use a straight razor for a few days so I went ahead and took advantage of the opportunity.
Succès got the nod today as I wanted a soap that is perfect for a straight razor. The cushion was its usual eliteness, the sickness was fantastic, and the post-shave feel was what you expect from Frank's products.
I may be going crazy, but I think I may be preferring boar brushes above everything else. I will wait to make a definitive statement until the SV brush comes in, but the lather I get with a boar is near impossible to get with any other brush. With the exception of my Gelousy Badger.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope yall had a great Thursday!

Great setup and shave! I lean towards boar myself.

I always thought I would prefer badgers over everything else, but the lathers these boars make are amazing!

Also @GearNoir sorry I missed the first part of your comment, but the den is coming along pretty nicely. So far it is functional right now. I eventually want to replace the mirror/cabinet to a slightly bigger one and get some things to put on the wall so it doesn't look like a prison cell. I'll have to do a quick tour of everything sometime soon!
