Down in the Heart of Texas!

I've been using a sponge for a couple of months. I love how it reduces how much moisture gets in the pivot pin. I'm sure I'll have to repin my newer used razors at some point in the future, but I'd like to do that further down the road and with as little corrosion as possible.

I did not even think of that...thanks Ben!

Very late shave today. Needed a shave that I could do quickly with zero irritation, so the OREN got the nod. Went with Seville today because I wanted to change it up, but also wanted something with a nice light scent and slick.
First time using the Captains Choice Copper Bowl. It made a nice lather very quickly, felt really good in the hand, and it is not breakable. This is a nice gift and a perfect bowl for the summer/spring months when I do not need warm lather from my scuttle.
All in all it was a great quick shave and I am DFS+!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a great Friday!

Those CC copper bowls are pretty sweet lookin! Great shave! You have a great Friday too Pat!

Decent shave today. I have not been feeling well today and thought a hot shower and shave may help me feel better. Well that wasn't the case, and I learned when you don't feel good it translates to the quality of shave. I am DFS at best, but I do smell good and the EdT sample was also very nice.

Hope y'all had a great Saturday Cadre!

Well today's shave did not go as planned. I planned on doing my outdoor shave, but little man was not happy so I decided to shave indoors that way I could help out if needed. Then I was going to do a straight shave with the Filli, but little man got REALLY upset and was only happy if I held him facing outwards. So a DE got the nod and I did my first one handed shave! Welcome to fatherhood is all I could hear my grandad and dad saying.
The shave itself went very well and Peyton was very intrigued by the process. He learned about the aftershave I use and why I use them. He got a lesson on Alum and Hyaluronic Acid. So although the shave didn't go as planned it sure was an enjoyable one and we both smell great! Peyton qualifies for DSBBS, but I only qualified for BBS.

Have a wonderful Sunday Cadre!

Haha! Great read. Yea each of our kids had a certain way they liked to be held most of the time. You learn quickly not to anger them, or they may ya pay for it in alligator tears :ROFLMAO:

I shot the Outdoor Shave Video that Dave tagged me in, but all you can hear is lawn mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and some guy screaming at you. So I decided to spare you the annoyance of watching that and I will try again tomorrow! I did however go back inside and take a SOTD photo for you'll!
The shave went very well. I wanted to use some Aqua Velva for this months shave theme and so I chose a lightly scented soap for that aftershave. That is where CBL's Master Barber soap gets the nod and what a wonderful shave it was. That soap base is wonderful and I cannot wait to see what scents he releases in that base.
I also got my shipment of Wizamet blades in today and @GearNoir suggested I use that in the Game Changer. It helped with the alum feedback for sure, and I realized I have used this blade before. @MilkCrate sent me this blade back when I first joined the Cadre in a PIF that included the SIR Fougere Premium soap, and I remember loving this blade. I'm pretty sure I pushed it to about 12 shaves because I loved the feel of it so much.
All in all today was a great shave and hopefully tomorrow is a little more quiet outside for the outdoor shave!

I'm tempted to get more Wizamets. I think I have 200 or 300, but that's probably not enough to pair with the 14 lifetimes worth of software that I have.

I bought 100, but I also have 400 other blades of ones that I like. For me the GSB is perfect in the Fatboy. I love the Rubie and 6C combo. I really like the Voskhod in all of those razors, but I think it meshes best with my Parker Variant. And then I have 100 Personna Reds that I really liked in the NEW SC that I tried out in the Vintage Passaround Box. So hopefully my 100 Wizamets last a while.
