Needed to save some time today so I went with the Fatboy on setting 5. I don't know if my skin is getting used to shaving everyday or what, but setting 5 actually felt super mild. Like almost as mild as the GC .68 which it used to not feel that mild. I may try it again later and increase the setting on it. The soap and skin food need no introduction or elaboration. Both are elite in their own category and my personal favorite soap base/aftershave. Can't wait to try the other products I have coming my way.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great hump day!

Great shave today with AA Bay Rum! Arrgh (that's for you @MilkCrate). I really enjoy this soaps scent and base. This was the first time I used it with a straight razor and the shave was fantastic! PAA will definitely get more business from me in the future!
I think my face is either getting used to shaving everyday and straight razors, or my technique is improving. Today was the second time that I got very little feedback from the alum after a straight razor shave and I was able to go ATG on the neck with zero irritation!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Thursday!

Late shave today so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to try out the Fatboy on a higher setting. Went with setting 7 and this is what I remember setting 5 feeling like. Still very little alum feedback and it was only on the spots I tried to chase.
Stirling Hipster got the call today because I had not used it in a while. I still really enjoy the scent of this soap and the performance is great.
I got a new to me razor in that I bid on a couple weeks ago and before I show it to the Cadre I need to polish it up a bit. For those of you that have straight razors with etching on it, do y'all avoid the etched areas or do y'all just polish the whole razor?

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Friday!

Coat that area in clear fingernail polish while you work on the cleanup. Once done, remove polish.

Well I thought it was a smooth shave until I used the alum and boy I got lit up. Last time I got lit up like that was when I used my Dovo before realizing it needed to be honed. But oh well and went on with my usual post shave routine. Got lit up again with the splash, but by that point I couldn't hardly feel my face so it wasn't that bad. I'll be using this razor tomorrow too to see if I can fix that. @GearNoir do you have issues with blade alignment with the .68?
Another all Stirling shave and I was proud of that. I am currently working on breaking my Stirling boar in using the refrigerator method and I am having fun trying out the colognes. Haven't found a bad one yet and I still have 3 to go!
@BarberDave tagged me in the outdoor shave so I will probably get that done either Wednesday or Saturday, so I am going to do it Dave, but it may take me a couple of days!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and have a great Monday!
