This was my Candlelight Shave and posted the video in the VLOG section. First video and it was different. I was so worried about what to talk about that I was a little all over the place. I forgot to talk about the soap more, but it has a great base. I didn't evaluate it too much, but it has great cushion and slickness. It will definitely not be my last DG soap!

Great shave this morning with my anniversary gift! My wife and I realized that next week is going to be difficult to do anything with my upcoming schedule, so we are celebrating our anniversary tonight. She did great picking out this razor for me, but she informed me that she had some help with the assistance of @BarberDave @NurseDave and @Dave in KY. Thank you guys very much for helping her out! She gets her gift tonight and I am excited for her to see it. I won't reveal it yet now that I know she has ways of finding things out here! This razor is very smooth and very sharp. There was very little feedback from the alum which is unusual for a straight shave for me, but I am not complaining by any means!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a great Sunday!

Happy anniversary, Pat! Sounds like you got one hell of a razor. Looks like I have some YouTube to catch up on.

Thanks Ben!

Happy Anniversary Patrick and Katelyn !!!!

Tell her since she has access here, we expect to see her post pics of her gift tonight in the "What's New To You" thread 😂 😂 😂
Thanks Dave and I will let her know!

Happy anniversary! A great razor, the missus and the razor are keepers.
They both are definitely keepers! Thanks Tim!

I suggested a Lather Shirt but she said you had a dozen coming already..........
Okay she is definitely exaggerating. I had two come in 🤣

Woke up late so I had to go with a DE today. My goal is to use a straight at least 5 times this week, so we'll see how that goes. I went with the 6C because this was the first razor my wife bought me, and this is probably the only razor I own that I could shave blindfolded every day and have zero irritation because I know it so well. I really like the Personna Reds in this razor. The GSB felt too rough, Voskhods seemed to mild, Rubies were a close second, and of the Wizamets I ordered two months ago ever come in I'll try those out in this razor first.
The soap was great, but I noticed that it is starting to get little dark hard spots in it and I was curious if any of y'all have come across this issue and what it may mean.
All in all it was a good shave and I am DFS+.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Monday!

Take a picture of the spots??? I can't remember if I've heard anything about that before.

Great shave today. Wanted to try out the Deep Woods so I went with something with a lighter scent. This was probably the best straight razor shave I have had in a month or two. Very little feedback from the alum and I am BBS! I love CBL Tonsorial soaps. The cushion is perfect for a straight shave and the slickness is also great!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a good Tuesday!
